I am rejecting this response because:
I had to retrieve my car after six months because they was taking money overtime with minimal to no work being done and the work was done poorly. I witness them use a blowtorch and after taking it to a reputable place, the auto body, ************ ******** had to strip and replace everything due to how much they damaged my car. Nothing was salvageable for the other auto body shop to resume and work on. Please reach out and contact ************ ******** so they can explain how they ruined the integrity of my car more than fix it. The guy that owns the shop name is ****. Number is (314) 481-6606. My car is Voltswagen Golf GTI 2022. My name is ****** ******

    Sincerely,

****** *****” but was able to get it down to 1000 (totaling it to 6600) since I had no choice because they was withholding my car. After taking it to a reputable shop, The shop owner told me they had to strip everything and start from scratch. I was charged 5600 at that shop for everything to be repaired so not double or triple the price as the previous shop owners told me. Pictures were taken and the owner at better deal automotive damaged my car even further because surface rust was developed from it sitting in the shop plus they was blowtorching the interior metal and drilling holes to straighten out the metal. This destroyed the integrity of my car and the guy said if I gotten into another accident down the line that side would’ve caved in like an empty soda can. The other shop that was working alongside the owner at better deal automotive was “top 2 bottom” and his info is: 5938 Evergreen Blvd Saint Louis, MO 63134. 1 (314) 600-0782. Both participated in the scam and shared the money.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/22/2023

    Dear Better Business Bureau:

I am ********* ***** of Better Deal Automotive. I take pride in my reputation built on honor and trust. *** ***** was a customer of ***** ****** who deferred to me on bodywork on *** *****’ 2022 VW. *** ****** gave him price information in my examination of the vehicle; I discovered that the frame at the rear was bent and required frame straightening time on the frame machine. In addition, the left quarter panel unrepairable, and the new one, purchased by the man’s father, had to be installed, involving drilling and supplemental labor time. Supplemental expenses are the life of an insurance adjuster I was upfront about the added expense. In response to *** *****’ slanderous statement, we do not use blow torches in our work. The integrity of his vehicle was affected by my work to suggest that ***** ******’ and I were involved in a nefarious scam is untrue. *** ***** complained about the time factor for the repair and abruptly took his vehicle, and I did not have a chance to finish the job.

    Thank You,

    Better Deal Automotive
