I took my car to this shop for repairs, they quoted me $3000.00 for the needed repairs and said if I gave them a deposit of $500.00 they would get started on the repairs right away. I paid them the requested money, but they never started the repairs. After 6 months of them having my vehicle they had not done any repairs, and I picked up my vehicle to take to another shop to complete the needed repairs this company failed to do. This company is stating I owe them $600.00. I do not owe them, they owe me. I paid them $500.00 and they did nothing to my car except keep it hostage for over 6 months

    Business Response

The consumer dropped off a $500.00 deposit, the truck was brought to our shop and a estimate was given to the consumer. The father of the consumer called us and stated he was the party that would be paying and wanted our mechanic to go over it again and list every repair needed. The consumer came in after we had replaced the rear axle stating that he needed the vehicle and demanded we give it to him, which we said we could do if he paid for the diagnostic, and rear axle for the price of $647.00. The consumer asked that we put the $500.00 towards his bill, which we did, but there was still a balance of $147.00, the consumer stated that they did not have the balance, but we agreed to let him take the vehicle on the promise he would come back and pay the balance, which he never did.  We only waive diagnostic fees if the consumer chooses our shop to do all the recommended repairs.
