    In June 2023, my husband and I met with *****************************, a representative of Mahler Ballroom to discuss having a post honeymoon party for our son on 8/31/2024. On 8/8/2023, I paid Mahler Ballroom $1500 as a deposit via credit card for this party. On 10/31/2023 I reached back out to ******* via email to ask if we could change the date to September 14,2024. I never received a response to my email. I called and left a message but received no response. I stopped by around noon on November 10, 2023 and was met at the door by a gentleman I assumed was a worker. He told me ******* no longer worked there. He took my name and number and said someone would call me back. I never received a call. My husband and I have both driven by on separate occasions only to find the building dark and empty. We have gone by on weekends when we would expect to see events. My husband completed a form on their website inquiring about the change of date. He received an email from ******************* stating the date has been changed to the 14th. I forwarded that email to **************** on 11/28/23 stating I wanted to update the contract to reflect the change and he has not responded. I have tried multiple times to call and the mailbox is full. I also reached out to the caterer we booked for the event and he said he does not have anything booked there. We would like a full refund of our deposit of $1500 because we are not confident they will be open and we can not wait to book another secure location.

    We have process a refund of $1500 to the individual's credit card.  Our credit card portal notifies us that this process may take up to 7 days.  Refund receipt is attached.
