I ordered a glass of red wine valued at $8 a glass plus 20% tip while visiting for the first time. It was served cold to me. I took it back and asked if all of their red wine is served cold and I was told it is because it is from a tap. I mentioned how I have never been served cold red wine anywhere and asked for a replacement drink. I received a Sangria instead and he took the glass of red wine and poured it down the sink. At the end of my visit when I went to settle my tab the amount of the bill seemed higher than it should be. I asked to see what was on the tab and was told I could not see it until I completed my payment and tip, which seemed very odd. After I completed the transaction I saw the receipt which included the original glass of wine and the 2nd drink I ordered. I asked for a refund for the glass of wine and was told I had to speak to the guy that originally helped me because he was the only one that could do that. I explained the situation again to him and he told me he would not refund it because there was nothing wrong with the wine. I told him that there was something wrong with it because it was cold and no other establishment serves red wine cold, and I had no way to know that ahead of time. He told me I could have let it sit out to get warm, which I told him was ridiculous since it would take an hour to get warm. I asked again if he would refund the money and he told me he would not but he could give me a beer instead. I told him I did not want a beer and would not be returning to the business again. My group spent a total of $132 in food and drinks for the one hour we were there.

    Business Response

    Hi ******,
Im sorry you dont prefer your wine at 50*F (which is what our tapper is set for, 5* below what many consider proper pinot noir serving temperature).  For this specific pinot noir that we have on tap, we found 50*F best displayed the wines natural characteristics, and served as a better starting temp for people to take out on our patio on a hot day.  I know many places that serve their glasses of red wine at room temp (72+*F, and I personally find that repulsive, and only serves to degrade the wine, and is why we do what we do), and would make any red wine hot within 15 minutes if pouring it.  Our wine might have been too chilled for your taste, and for that I am sorry.  I am happy to find your check and refund that glass of wine that was on your bill.  I would just need the last 4 digits of your credit card.  We hope everything else was fantastic, and tasted good.  Please feel free to send me an email at ***********************************

I accept this response from the company, and I received a credit as stated.  I just wish this would have been handled on site at my request without having to go through the BBB.  Other than this issue, all other service, food, and drink was pleasant during my visit.
    Thank you,
    ******
