I paid $1,100.00 for full catering service for an event on November 19, 2022. I paid $20.00 a person
for 55 people . The catering service included: fried Bae wings, waffles, pork bacon, turkey sausage,
smothered potatoes, scrambled cheese eggs, and fresh fruit, warmers, sterno, serving utensils, and 1
server for up to 2 hours. The food was dropped off around 12:45 pm, which was 15 minutes late. When I arrived at 1pm there was no server present. I reached out to **** ******, the manager ,to ask where the server was and was told I wasn't charged for plated service. However, on my invoice it clearly stated that I would receive one server for up to 2 hours. Which I communicated to **** as well. I was told it was a
miscommunication. If I would have known this prior to my event, I could have prepared or used
another company because I specifically requested full catering so that I would not have to deal with
chafing dishes and serving. Not to mention, we did not have any gloves to properly serve food in a
safe and sanitary way. There were many issues that I faced: The food was cold. I was not presented with any directions on how to properly operate chafing dishes. The food was served 45 minutes after it was dropped off. When I later read directions online on how-to operate Sterno servers, it states that it could take up to one hour to warm food. The lack of a trained server caused a major inconvenience for my event. The bacon was not fully cooked and looked raw. Displaying raw meat to my guests was embarrassing and the guests did not want to eat the bacon. This is a major concern, because this can lead to food poisoning. I immediately sent a picture to **** when I realized this and there was no response. The potatoes were hard and could have been cooked longer. The eggs were unseasoned and I could not taste any cheese as requested. I reached out to the manager via phone and email to work out a resolution and was ignored. I want a refund.
