Business Description:

Lesanto’s Healing Hands Learning Center is a community-based nonprofit organization committed to addressing the educational, developmental, emotional, and social needs of children with disabilities and children from low-income families in the St. Louis area.

Our 133,000 square-foot facility—formerly a school—serves as a safe, nurturing, and resource-rich environment where children can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Through specialized programs, therapy partnerships, and individualized care plans, we help each child reach their fullest potential.

In addition to early childhood and school-age programs, we are working towards becoming a licensed Child Placing Agency, offering emergency placement and stabilization services for children in foster care.

Our organization was founded on principles of healing, inclusion, education, and empowerment, with a leadership team deeply rooted in the St. Louis community.

Products and Services

At Lesanto’s Healing Hands Learning Center, our mission is to provide compassionate, specialized care and educational support to exceptional children and underserved families in the St. Louis region. Our services are designed to meet the developmental, educational, emotional, and therapeutic needs of children from birth through school age, especially those with disabilities and from low-income households.

Core Services

1. Early Childhood Education & Daycare
We offer licensed, inclusive daycare and preschool programs for children ages 0-5. Our curriculum focuses on developmental milestones, sensory-based learning, and school readiness for children with and without disabilities.

2. After-School & Out-of-School Programs
For school-age children (ages 5-12), we provide:
After-school tutoring
Homework help
Social-emotional learning activities
Life skills workshops
Arts, music, and recreational programs

3. Therapeutic Services
We partner with licensed therapists to provide:
Speech Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Behavioral Support and ABA Services
Services are tailored for children with developmental delays, autism, and other disabilities.

4. Respite Care for Families
We understand the challenges families face. Our Respite Care Program offers short-term care options to give parents and caregivers much-needed breaks while ensuring their children receive safe, nurturing supervision.

5. Emergency Child Placement Services (Coming Soon)
As we work toward our full Child Placing Agency License, we are preparing to offer:
Short-term emergency placement for foster youth
Family stabilization services
Placement coordination with local child welfare agencies

6. Community Outreach & Family Support Programs
We offer workshops and programs designed to strengthen families and empower parents, including:
Parenting classes
IEP advocacy support for special education
Family counseling referrals
Health and nutrition education

7. Workforce Development for Youth (Future Program Goal)
We aim to launch vocational and life skills training for teens and young adults with disabilities, focusing on:
Job readiness
Financial literacy
Entrepreneurship exposure

8. Facility Rental for Community Use
Our spacious former school facility (over 133,000 sq ft) is available for:
Community meetings
