The owner of the cleaning company that I use to clean my home took it upon herself to clean my lighting fixtures because she did not think her employees were doing a good job. I never asked her to clean my lighting fixtures. She broke my lighting fixture upon doing what she claims was a QC inspection. I never asked this from her, and she is refusing to pay for a replacement. I have three matching lighting fixtures in my home and now one is completely broken and needs to be replaced by an electrician. Unfortunately, the lighting fixtures are discontinued and I have no choice but to replace all three. The company is refusing to take responsibility for breaking my property and not making things right.

"The owner of the cleaning company that I use to clean my home took it upon herself to clean my lighting fixtures because she did not think her employees were doing a good job."

My teams do a great job. I go into homes to do quality checks on my teams as an extra for my clients. Yes, I do take it upon myself to make sure my teams are doing the best job possible.

"I never asked her to clean my lighting fixtures. She broke my lighting fixture upon doing what she claims was a QC inspection."

In the course of the 7 years that I have went into homes, it is normal to do QC inspections.

"I never asked this from her, and she is refusing to pay for a replacement."

I am not refusing to replace the light(s). I am refusing to pay $600 for the light(s). Attached is a photo of the light broken. This same photo was inserted into ****** lens and the results were this light was a light was purchased at ********** for $30.

"I have three matching lighting fixtures in my home and now one is completely broken and needs to be replaced by an electrician."

Which ***** told me he could get done for $75 and I agreed to pay $125, the extra $50 for time and trouble.

"Unfortunately, the lighting fixtures are discontinued and I have no choice but to replace all three."

The lights are not discontinued and I have one on order and it will be coming into the ********** store today.

"The company is refusing to take responsibility for breaking my property and not making things right."

The company is not refusing to take responsibility. I have admitted immediately after the light broke. I texted both ***** and his wife to let them know what happened. Then, he walked into his home and I showed him the light. I said, "Let me know your lighting guy and I will pay to get it replaced." He said, "Do you know what I do for a living?" I said, "No". He said, "I am the lighting guy, no problem I'll take care of it. Those are cheap lights anyway. I can get them from the back of the store, they always have discounted lights."

Then the next thing I know he's asking us to buy 3 lights from Pottery Barn, making the entire project $600. And expressing that his home would not have ********** lights, but he agrees he doesn't know where the lights came from because it came with the house.

In addition, he recently continued to badger me through text with threats of attorneys and credit card fraud.

I am willing to give him the light I bought from **********, (as that is an exact replacement of the broken light) and pay him $75 for the electrician.

I am rejecting this response because: what they are offering is not comparable.  Im looking for apples to apples replacement.  They are proposing an inferior product to what they broke.  It should be of same quality.  They are going with the cheapest thing they can find on the internet and thats not right.

    Sincerely,
