    We were very excited to stay at the Missouri Athletic Club while in *********. They provided a shuttle to the Cardinals game which was vital for us as I am temporarily handicapped. I was assured they had a shuttle bus that could accommodate my ****** and they would drop us off closer enough to make entrance possible. We arrive to check in about an hour before the game, as advised, and were informed that the shuttle was broken down and in the shop and they would not be able to provide transportation. Things happen, so we got an Uber to the game. Upon returning to the *** we prepared to check in when someone mentioned that the restaurant, pool and hot tub were not available because it was a Sunday. When I asked about the hot tub and pool when I made my reservation no one mentioned that they would be closed for the duration of our stay. They had already run my card when I heard this but we had not left the front desk. I informed them that we did not want to stay after all, since the amenities we were looking for were not available. I asked to have the transaction canceled and I was told they could not. They told me that I would have to call back and request a refund with ***************************, the manager. I did so on the next day and ******* told me they would refund the $154.44 charges on August 2nd. It is 8/24/2023 and they have yet to refund my credit card, so fortunately, Capitol One was able to file a dispute. Beware of these deceptive practices and avoid the Missouri Athletic Club.
