I have been receiving calls for them the past 2 days claiming I have a debt with **************** I did some research into it and discovered that all they did was change the last number of an old acct that was paid off several years ago. They took an old acct and changed one number. I called Credit One to verify if there was an acct and Credit One informed me that there is not nor ever was an acct with these numbers. When the lady called this morning I asked her for a copy of the purchasing agreement, she was not able to supple one, claiming that she is not sure if they have one or where it would be located. When I threw facts at her she talked in circles and then hung up. Guess she didnt like the info I gave her.

On 6/29/2023 I received a voicemail from an Advanced Dispute Services (ADS). The name the lady left on voicemail was a ************************* (which sure was not her name). She provided a case number and told me to call back 1-877-number and mentioned it was in regards to court filing and I needed to call and how the call was being recorded as an attempt to contact me. When I called, the lady who answered the phone asked me for the case/file number and then transferred me. When I called to speak to them both guys (last one saying his name was *********************) couldnt provide with their business and license number. The first guy wanted me to state my date of birth so he could verify me. I told him no and he said if I didnt I can wait to papers are delivered to me and them follow up then. I researched and saw previous complaints about ADS trying to collect people to collect old or zombie debt (that is old debt, previously paid, charged off and well outside of the statute of limitations). I know I didnt have any debt currently in collections and have not for many many years, as I have good credit. I know that this was a case of them purchasing stale or outdated debt and illegally contacting people to get them to pay on debt that is not owed. When I called back, ********* provided the name and address of *****************************************************. I asked for his company website and he told me that they do not have one because they do not deal with public directly. I informed ***** that I was reporting them for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and wanted they licensed number. Just like the previous guy, he could not provide it to me. He got aggravated and hung up on me. Ridiculous scam and illegal which I hope no one falls for. I intend of providing all this info and voicemail to attorney if they try contact me again.
