My sister passed on 12/06/2022 and I decided to let this funeral home do the job. We did not recognize my sister. She was dark and bloated. She did not look like herself. They did not offer visitation before the funeral to see the body, and they had my mother sign additional paperwork the day before the funeral because they spelled her name wrong they had her name as ******* ********* and her Name is Spelled ******* **** *******. The Same girl that does do the paper work she sent paperwork to ********* hospital and spelled one of the Dr. Names wrong and she had to resend paperwork to the doctor for signature. The next mistake she put my niece as the the head beneficiary on the insurance claim and now the insurance company is doing a investigation due to this mistake. The investigation will be over in over in March and now my deceased sister's children and my mother have to wait on their funds now until March. They need to offer to do something especially call the insurance company to try and get this process moved along, or reimburse some of the money back that we spent on this funeral.

      Business Response

      Date: 01/23/2023

Good Afternoon. I would like to dismiss the complaint made by ****** ****. The funeral home has acted in accordance with all state and federal laws regarding the decedent. As to the complaint; the funeral home home has done due diligence when it comes to the insurance payment. All beneficiaries signed their respective places and parts of the insurance assignment and claim forms. It takes time for the insurance company to process claims. It's not something that's going to be done in a matter of hours. Once the documents are submitted to the insurance company, it's out of our hands. We are waiting to be compensated as well. Why would we hold up the process. The day the insurance company writes a check to the funeral home, the insurance company writes checks to the respective beneficiaries. There were more than one beneficiary and all of them signed. Don't know what ****** **** is referring to; however, we have done our job. Anything else would have to be discussed with the insurance company. ****** **** is not the next of kin of the decedent, and was not responsible for any of the financial part of the arrangements. As a courtesy, I responded to this complaint.

I don't agree.  My complaint has not been resolved.  The funeral person called and said they were supposed to get it all straightened out by February 7th.  Nothing has been resolved.  We are just waiting.
