We are a brand new multi family development in ******************. One of the elevators that Schindler put in the building has been down more then it has worked. Our *** doesn't return emails or phone calls. When we finally get them to commit to sending someone out, & they ghost us. The whole experience has been shocking.

In January the account manager that was taking care of this customer went out on maternity leave. This customer was then given to our only other account manager at the time who then unexpectedly quit without any notice.  During this time there was there were delays in responses to the customer. **********************'s mechanic was on site multiple times troubleshooting the ongoing issues the elevator was having.  Once it was determined that further assistance was needed, a call was put into our team one troubleshooting department to come out and assist with this ongoing issue.  On March 25th Schindler had a national team One troubleshooting expert fly into town and troubleshoot the unit. Our team one expert was able to successfully troubleshoot the problems the elevator was having and return it back to service. The Schindler is also once again fully staffed. Schindler looks to having a strong service relationship moving forward.

Our elevator is out of service. I filed the report online. Schindler sent back 2 emails acknowledging the issue exists. I have not heard from anyone at Schindler. I have called and left multiple messages at the ************ number. I have called the ***** number and they supposedly emailed the local office. We paid them $3,687.64 in 2024 for a maintenance contract but get no maintenance. We have elderly people who are unable to get up the stairs. This is why we have an elevator.

The issue surrounding this elevator was that the 1st floor hall call push button had gone out. We received a service call on Friday 1/31/2025 afternoon. Overtime services were not authorized. We dispatched a mechanic the following Monday 2/3/2025 and corrected the issues the elevator was having. The elevator is currently in service.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the business' response regarding complaint ID ******** and the elevator was repaired so we are satisfied with this resolution - however our initial report was on January 24. We used their online portal and received a confirmation email that our report of being out of service was received. We did not hear from Schindler. We called and left messages on January ******** & 30. We emailed on January 30 saying we were going to file the BBB complaint . We filed this complaint at the end of the day on January 30. When I called on January 31 they responded and set a date to fix the elevator. It is repaired so we are good. But Schindler is NOT RESPONSIVE to customers. The technician was great.

    Sincerely,
