I'd ran across Heaven Sent Banquet Hall while looking for a place to hold my grandfather's ******. The area is less than 5 minutes from the funeral home, had a large enough parking space & holding space for the amount of people expected to attend so I'd reached out & spoken with the owner to inquire about pricing & to see if the hall would be available for the date needed. The owner assured me that the hall would be available & that I could come in & make a payment informing me of pricing & a $200 incidental deposit that would be returned if there weren't issues with the place after us leaving. I agreed & paid the price also adding on an extra $350 for them to decorate the location for me. After the event I'd gone over & informed the *********** daughter that the event space was cleaned & we'd cleared out about 1.5 lh earlier than expected. They'd acknowledged & informed me again that my deposit would be returned on January ******. I'd been calling this location since Jan. 3, 2025 to recieve my deposit but they'd stopped answering my calls & still to this day haven't responded or returned my cash. So I went back to the business page on ****** just to see this is common for her & the business to withhold her clients money &/or talk to the crazy & make them sign a *** agreeing not to speak of the altercation.

I met with the owners ************ **** on Saturday, March 16, ********************************************************************************** **** said yes it was available. When I asked about the price, she said I needed to pay $700 and would be refunded $200. I paid her immediately and expected my refund. After several weeks, I did not receive a refund at all. I called her numerous times and has never received a call back. I went up to the location a few times while other events were occurring. Upon one of these times, a young lady that I believe to be her daughter said she would call her. She returned to ask me to call between 10a-11a on the following Monday. Due to a work meeting, I was unable to call during that narrow window but has made several calls since. I have made attempts on the following numbers - ************ and ************. I have even sent her emails of which she has not responded. I am still expecting my $200 refund as our agreement stated at a minimum. Due to her lack of honoring our agreement, I actually would like a full refund.

The $200 has been refunded to the consumer as of 10/3/2024.

The transaction date was 6-26-2024 in the amount of $200.00 and the place was Heaven Sent Events **************. The company rented out a venue space for my dads ****** and never refunded the security deposit. The venue has no damages and was told would receive the deposit on July 19 and it is Sept 10th. No, the business has not tried to provide resolution, but instead has tried to keep the deposit. The owner is in violation of her own clause. The owner has committed this act against previous clients per ****** reviews.

The consumer's deposit was applied towards items that she did not have that my business allowed her to use, she signed off on forfeiture of her deposit because of the use of my event items that was never apart of her original agreement. When she tried to submit reversal or dispute to her bank, they denied it, that she posted on her review. To make a good faith effort, I will refund her deposit.
