    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The information provided by DGH Services is inaccurate. I have attached pictures of documentation that show when contracts were signed, and deposit checks were issued to the plumbing company. I also have provided documentation that includes text communication between myself and *** ********, our contractor, showing we were at a standstill in our project because we were awaiting STL County permits. So DGH services stating the delay for two weeks was on us not signing permits is grossly inaccurate. Not to mention, it was mid April and he was still trying to get plumber out there (text message attached for reference). On multiple occasions I reached out to inquire when subs would be starting work. My check was cashed in mid March by plumbing company. blatant lying from a company should not be tolerated.

I have a lot more documentation to support our position, but I was out of space and could not attach anymore files.

At this time, we would like DGH services to release the lien. We do not want them back on our property.  We made that very clear in early December. We have had the work completed. And wish to have the lien released, and to have all ties and communication terminated with this company.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ************

    ur project finished.

I think it’s important to note some of ***‘s other subcontractors were very subpar in their work.

Putting the cabinetry aside (which is a huge part of our project), *** did not hold up his end of the contract. He owes us a final, in person, walk-through to go over all of his work. We have been begging *** for months to come do a final walk-through so he can address our areas of concern where his work was completed poorly.

I wish I had enough characters to discuss in more detail the poor quality of ***‘s work, and as mentioned above, his subcontractors.

Bottom line, we now had to hire a painter to come in and repaint everything. We are currently in the process of seeking out bids for someone to come tie up the loose ends in regards to ***’s work. We are also on the hunt for somebody to finish our custom cabinetry. this is going to be no small bill. Since *** can’t finish the work, we would really like some sort of refund.

We have made numerous efforts to make this right with the consumer. We have offered to have her make a list of issues that we could do a walk through and fix the issues. We have been to several different stores to look at further cabinetry options but unfortunately our very reputable cabinet contractor fell into unforeseen circumstances with his wife's illness. This project has been taking longer than expected but it did take her 2 weeks to sign a contract regarding their new bathroom being built in their basement. The work down there was extensive and this was a subcontract to our initial contract. We would be able to finish this job if they allow us back on their property. We have already given them a $600 credit towards the job.

    Customer Answer

I would like to add further documentation to my case file. The following attached documents show the plumbing contract with ** ******** was signed at the end of March 2023 and the check was cashed by ** ******** on March 22, 2023.

Also, the other contractor was ******* ********. Attached is the contract that was initiated by ******* ********, and typed up on March 16, 2023. And, as it can be noted in the supporting documentation, I signed it on March 22, 2023 - just under a week after receiving it and reviewing it with my husband. So DGH services was not truthful in their statement that we upheld the progress/start of our project by not signing the subcontractors contracts.

As noted in prior email, we were waiting on contracts from St. Louis county for over three weeks before work could even begin. All contracts for subcontractors, and any deposits for work had long been provided.

    Sincerely,
