      One of the worst hospital billing wise. They sent ** bill after 1.5 years from date service. And wrongly filed to insurance and bill was refused. Now when we talked to our insurance after we got bill and insurance wont pay because its already passed time limit to file to the insurance . Billing department would keep me on hold for hours and hung up. I would never get any services from here

      Billing issues. Received statement on 10/31/2022 for Eye **************** on 04/05/2022. The amount due shows $219.00, insurance adjustment of $143.83 ******** and patient balance of $75.17. Check mailed 11/15/2022 in the amount of $75.17. On 12/30/2022 received a statement from SSM Health showing amount due of $262.64. Called SSM 01/09/2023 and talk to **** **************** rep said after reviewing the bill, it went out in error. Not worry. On 02/02 received statement from SSM Health shows amount of $262.54. On 02/07 at 114pm, called SSM Health Physician Billing **************** , waited online for 15 minutes and C/S rep asked the phone and than get disconnected, called again at 125pm, and get disconnected again after a voice said Hello, disconnected again at 139pm, called again after waiting online for 17 minutes, I hear a voice said hello and get disconnected again. SSM Customer Billing needs to be investigate for false billing and refusing to return my call! Unacceptable. .

      Two surges in less then a week for a cyst. Second surgery was needed cause they took out my drain tube when I said it should stay in. sent me back to work. When return they imited me to the hospital worst thing is the surgery nurses were rude. Then financial aide lady ***************** tells me don't worry about a payment til we reduce your bill. Boy was I wrong! They sent ************************* Didn't say a word. Next thing I know got collections calling me. I m going what's going? Sad. Im trying to by a house. And ***************** sent my stuff to collections. She lied to me. She didn't help me out all made my life worse . Let alone a second surgery I had to have because my sergens nurse didn't know what she was doing .

      We had an exchange student from Germany who needed her Meningococcal Vaccine to attend school. With no insurance available, we called around to get best price. We called (***)***-**** and explained the situation of no insurance and they said it would be $158 total out of pocket so we made an appointment and paid in "full" so we thought. A few weeks later, we received an additional bill of $143 for this visit. We called to see what this was about and they informed us that we were supposed to fill out an "uninsured affidavit" form that we knew nothing about. Billing sent us this form and we completed it and sent it back. We were then sent a bill of $13. I called the billing department at (***)***-**** on 10-13-2022 @ 9:37AM and spoke with *****. I asked why we were still being billed $13 and she said the $158 original quote was just an estimate. I said "is that so?" I then told ***** that I was going to include her on a 3-way call with the (***)***-**** number so she can hear for herself the total quote of $158. So we did just that. We had a conversation between ***** with Scheduling, ***** with Billing, and myself. To *****'s dismay, ***** quoted me a price of $158. I asked ***** is that my total out of pocket for this shot and she said "yes". ***** tried to explain to ***** that that price is just an estimate and ***** said no, that is the total price. To be clear here, ***** and ***** are both SSM employees. ***** then put me on hold so she could supposedly go talk to her supervisor and when she came back, she said I still need to pay the additional $13 or file some sort of other complaint. I informed her I would be reporting to the BBB and she said to go ahead if that's what I need to do. I also told her SSM needs to get together and get their price sheets updated so billing pricing can match scheduling's pricing. So in the end, I paid the additional $13 and wrote this review just so I can be done with this particular experience with SSM.

      Payment agreements mean nothing to SSM Health. They send harassing emails and text messages many times per month, even though you have made your payment per the agreement this month. There is a lack of understanding, that they are not the only bill to be paid. Online payment does not allow you to pay less than the owed amount, even though you have paid them several times this month. They billed my husbands ******** supplement insurance instead of workmans comp repeatedly , after being told many times it was wrong. Their explanation is, we bill both insurance companies, and collect from whoever pays first. I am pretty sure this is called insurance fraud and incompetence.
