I spoke to this agency on 7/6 paid the ****** due to thinking I was about to be evicted with the hopes of finding a new apartment. However I was able to find a place before they even sent out listing. I called spoke to an agent same day to cancel because I didnt need the services anymore. Also sent the request in writing. I was advised someone from the finance department would reach out to me. I have not heard back from anyone. This is an absurd way to handle business. The policy is you have to cancel within 48 hours and I have done so well before then. No one is returning my phone calls or emails this seems like such a scam my next step is to report them to the ****Business Response

Hello I was in great despair to move. I had 10 days. I found my place n found out I had a judgment on my credit n could not get the place. With 6 days 2 go n no time 2 deal with that I found home helpers. They explain all the help they offer. Except once I made my payment on March 23 I called several times the following day to find out I wouldn’t receive a listing until close to the end of the day at 4 o’clock. I had no time to spare so close to 4 o’clock that day I contacted someone ****, ***** ***, n I was told they’ll be sending it over. when I finally received it. It was from Apartment.com. I didn’t need to pay 189,99 for information. I was told they work closely with certain properties n here it was everything I’ve already been looking out for the past week. I was furious, I contacted them they were already closed. I followed with 1 contact that I reached out 2 n was told they would help. I also didn’t mention I even sent over a credit report from the week. When I called them back, they were still busy. I then got a message from ***** she was telling me that they wouldn’t work with her 2 find another property. I had explained that I spoke 2 someone so at the property n they were willing to help who did you speak 2? She than stated let me call them back . I waited about an hour/2 n did not get a call back. I knew it was getting late in the afternoon on a Friday I called back got a hold of Amber. She was in her car with her children n the radio blasting, , she couldn’t hear me. she told me she had 2 call them back. She will call me back I said should I start the application she says no wait for me I then that night requested from my bank 2 get refunded since they didn’t do anything. I left a messages on Friday and nobody even bother 2 call me Monday so I let it go now I’m being told I breach the contract even though it said within 48 hours but because I reached out 2 my bank n not. Your request for a refund is not acceptable. We do not guarantee placement, only listing, and courtesy service to call to see if the place looks good for your acceptance.
This is a service business, not a retail store. The company pays a salary to all those that help our clients.
You are given two days for a refund via email. You did not know the name of the person you had spoken to and we could not confirm the same at our location.
You were also referred to a place that confirmed to us that you could be accepted. The complaint of it being a two bedroom instead of one bedroom, seems odd to me.
On several levels this is not up to any standards for a reason for a refund.
Regardless, you are very persistent, and personally, do not want to upset you.
We would offer you a 50 % refund to close this dispute. Please respond today if possible.

Beginning of May we got ahold of this company because we heard it would help with my finances background and getting approved for an apartment. After being told a bunch of promising things, we paid $120 to have them help us find an apartment. The communication the entire time between this company was horrible and they weren't doing the part they had promised. After asking for a refund because we felt we weren't getting the serviced we were promised, we were put into contact with a man named ***. *** claimed to be a customer service agent. Long story short, this man had the audacity to tell me I should apply for the apartment by myself and not put my fiance on the lease. The whole reason we went to this company is because they claimed they helped people get into places with backgrounds. So I told him at that point I want a refund because we were told a complete different story then what he told us. On June 6th, 2022 i recieved an email for my refund of $120 and that it'll take 7-10 business days to hit my account. 14 days go by and it never showed. I called *** and he swore up and down the refund was processed and that I needed to make a claim through my bank, which I did. After a month, the bank tok back the $120 they had given me back because this company claimed I never asked for a refund and never wanted to cancel my services. So absurd! Today, August 25th, I called again to see why the would do such a thing and come to find out *** is actually the manager! But never once did he say he was a manager and when I'd ask to speak with one he'd always say there wasn't one available... My lady wrote the above. To add, from the BEGINNING they knew I had a felony. Whatever charges yall spoke about for felons was never mentioned to me. Don't play the victim. *** processed our refund due to listening and ACKNOWLEDGING that our first phone call we were given false info! This complaint was already responded to and answered.
After 30 days service the subscription was completed. The
listing service and good coaching was provided to the customer.The refund request had no basis. The request was made after his subscription
had expired.
The card holders’ bank agreed the charge back was not valid.
Summary: He received
his received his listings and was not happy with the outcome.He was not successful in finding a better
place than the one recommended, and now wants to blame the company and others
for his mistake.
He claims the company told him to do a charge back with his
bank. The company did not.

Yall are the biggest liars! *** straight up told my girl to make a claim through her bank because they "supposedly" sent her her refund money and he didn't know what was going on. She had no idea she could even make a claim before he had said that! Her bank only denied it because yall only sent YOUR side of the conversation! My bank straight up told me if they could reopen the claim (because i can provide BOTH reciepts) they would but unfortunately their are protocals after closing a claim. Its like yall knew what the **** yall were doing. yall keep saying the same **** about how you never did a refund. We now ave TWO receipts for our refund and still have yet to see any of our money.

Hoping you can see the two attachments, why would I want a 50% refund when TWICE you have sent me an email for my FULL refund of $120? THAT is what I'm not understanding. I should have recieved my first refund of $120 but instead you swore up and down that it was and ******* needed to make a claim obviously knowing the bank would reject and take her money back. Then after she made a complaint you sent ANOTHER reciept of a $120 refund and still have yet to recieve it. So instead of being a company that steals from innocent people, provide me with the refund I was promised TWICE in my reciepts.

08/12/2022 I paid to have a worker help me get a place but I was sent only total of two sets of listings which some of them were already rented and I did get a referral to a management company and was showed three places out of the four I found one and I ended up speaking to the property management I filled out the application and a week later was denied, but this company is suppose to be guaranteed My worker was suppose to speak on my behalf so I thought that I was paying them for, so now I've been sending emails, calling this company, leaving voicemails and each time that I call it goes straight to voicemail, or my emails are being ignored, I have only one week left in the house that I'm in and I still haven't heard from anyone, I want a refundCustomer Answer

We are very sorry these customers were not happy about the decision
not to give them a refund.We have refund
polity for people who do want a refund within a reasonable
time after purchase. We are a service company, not a realtor, and mush pay our employee for services rendered.
We do have a refund policy. Any person who requests a refund in first few days after getting their
listing are refunded. This couple used our service and requested a refund after
their subscription was finished.
Customer complained to the BBB:“*** claimed to be a customer service agent. Long story
short, this man had the audacity to tell me I should apply for the apartment by
myself and not put my fiance on the lease. The whole reason we went to this
company is because they claimed they helped people get into places with
backgrounds.”The reason he suggested they apply separately was *** ******
did not disclose he had a Felony on his background report. Criminal background makes it much more
difficult than one with bad credit. She
did not have felony on her record and could have been easily accept her.The company kept our agreement to help and tried our best to
place *** ******. He was referred one
place that said they would accept him with a felony in *** *****, yet that place
was not good enough for them to apply as suggest by their customer service
representative.The truth is ******* ******* was not the client that signed
up for our services. In fact, the person
was ********* ******, her friend she wanted to help or rent with. Not sure what
the relationship is.
People with a criminal record of his nature are charged
almost triple. We are not sure, but it
seemed the non-disclosure was to avoid paying the higher fees. They were supposed to pay the Felony Fees
that are almost three time the normal fee for an Apartment search, not customer
service for bad credit or other issues without a felony on their credit report.If there are any other reasons that *** ****** has receiving
a refund, we are open to reconsidering.Thank you,

Never once were we give an explanation on your refund policy. Also, *** "approved" for a full refund after "reviewing" our first phone conversation because we were given false information which is what lead to the refund. So you can't talk about us not receiving a refund when I have proof of a full refund receipt that I still have not recieved 2 months later. This company must hire professional liars because that's all your company knows how to do.

I recently have been stuck with the decision on a apartment because a prior eviction so ************ ********* also known as home and apartment finder said they’d be able to assist me with getting approved for an apartment but once they sent the list of apartments that I could get approved they said I’d be able to choose the same day so once I called back to let them know there’s no answer what do ever and I’ve paid the $130 fee come to find out the company isn’t real and I was just scammed out of $130 and I’m stuck looking for an apartment and it’s really hard for me to get approved without the second chance rental I just wanted my money back but no one answers and it goes straight to voicemail as if they blocked my number !! Which is leaving me very upset because I really needed to move asap but now I can’t and it has left me in a very terrible predicament.!!!Business Response
