I have Been with this insurance company under union National for years my husband has also been under Reliant for some years before kemper took over I have always felt comfortable with union National that's why I went with this company never filed anything before this is my first time I suffered damage Due to hurricane ***** my insurance adjuster is ************************* things start off very professional im really upset that it had to come to this I'm a very patient person as I understand it's other calms as well that has been placed before mine needless to say ******************* Never called since the first call mine you i waited 2 weeks to reach out to her it's been a complete round around I called on 8/20/2024 the lady that i spoke was the only one seemed to care she explained my calm was approved the young lady who was great at helping me she sent a ticket to *** ****************** supervisor who I didn't hear from ..yet ****************** reached out to me a Lil over a hour after which I'm pretty sure *** her supervisor asked her to reach out to me once the ticket was submitted still didn't get anything or any answers from ****************** .all she stated was she had a long weekend laughed then stated she had to resend somethings ? Whats going on everything was approved by the inspector now I call today 8/26/2024 now another young lady telling me its in review this gives as if this is retaliation for me reaching out to her supervisor my calm was approved now it's back in review this doesn't make sense i just wanna get this resolved I'm upset that this had to happen I though kemper was a honest company customer service needs to improved i would like to be payed out so that i can replace my things thats it if customers don't pay there policy this ********************** doesn't stay in business so it would be nice to be more professional im one customer that pays with no problems for the last 4 years and more years before this company become kemper I would like to get this resolved please thank youCustomer Answer

It was Reliable Life Insurance. I called to check and see the status on my paid policies and this is when I found out it was Kemper. They said they mailed me a letter and they did not call. I told them I need to get my 3 policies for them. The rep said he will mail me a form. It has been over 10 years since I have had the policies because I paid them up. I would like to cash in on these 3 policies.Customer Answer

I’m writing because I called to get some information on my husbands policy but was told it’s terminated due to non payment but I have a letter stating it was paid in full as of 12/7/20213 and that no more payments were needed but policy would remain for the life of ***** ***** exact wording I’m also including both letters as attached
“ A number of years ago, the insurance policy displayed above was purchased on your life. As a limited premium PAYING policy, your need to make premium payments will CEASE on above indicated date 12/7/2013. HOWEVER, your coverage will remain in force for the remainder of your life, and cash values will continue to grow and be available for LOAN. Today a lady called me back and said a letter was sent advising payments still needed to be made because it’s a loan in 2015 but if that is the case why does it not say that on this letter also from the time the payments stopped in 2013 almost 2 years later you terminated it for no more payments even on your website it says you pay
“Other benefits: Premiums remain level
Coverage will continue for your whole life after the end of your premium payment period
Various riders can be added to your policy” So no where does it state you have to keep paying on this
This needs to be fixed asap or I will file a complaint and seek legal if needed.Business Response

They accused me of being late with my payments. They had me paying for fire insurance that I did not sign up for. They refuse to refund me the money I paid on the fire insurance. All the years I have been with them I am paying for 4 policies and they only sent me 2 policies. I I want a refund for everything at this point so I can start another policy somewhere else. I have spoke with them and gave them multiple chances to fix the issue.Business Response

Last July I called and made a payment for the rest of the year for my daughter's insurance policy. I usually made the payments with someone named Susan. A few months later I received a letter that my daughter's policy was being canceled due to nonpayment. I called the office and spoke with someone named ******** about the issue. She said that ***** no longer worked with the agency, and the issue would be forwarded to the billing department. I was also asked to send a bank statement showing proof that a payment was made. I ended up going to the office to provide the bank statement. Although I provided the statement, they would not accept the copy because it did not show account activity which included details I felt the company did not need to know. Since then I've spoken with multiple people about the issue but continue to get different answers, without any resolution. Someone from the corporate office told me my policy is currently in suspension mode. The company has stopped answering my calls and will not follow up with me.Business Response
