The motor started falling out from the tuckpointing. On Oct. 20th, I called them about it and left a message for them to call me. I called on Oct. 23 two times. Finally a lady called and said it has been 2 1/2 years and they weren't going to do anything. On Nov. 13, I called again and left a message. On Nov. 14th, a different lady called and said they will take care of it. On Nov. 16th, she called back and said they couldn't come because of the rain. Now it is Nov. 28, I left a message and they didn't call back.

I would like for them to come repair what they have done.

We inform our customers through our website that only a complete fill (100% fill)  is warranted.  Spot tuckpointing is not.  We did go back out to the property and plug some of the holes.

In February of 2021, STL Brick and Tuckpointing was contracted to repair and install a screen on my two chimneys, with the scope of work expressly stating that all spalled and broken bricks were to be replaced with new brick. Upon initial completion of the project, all of the broken brick had been simply replaced with red-tinted mortar. The entire project had to be re-done due to the oversight. After the second attempt, the brick replacement was complete, but the chimney screens were still not in place. Though the screens were on and expressly discussed during the bid, they wanted an additional $200 to add them. After paying this additional amount, the screens were installed, although one was placed improperly and is at an angle. Payment was made promptly.

Two years later, in March of 2023, STL Brick & Tuckpointing reached out requesting payment for the invoice, stating that they had forgotten to deposit the payment. I felt that this was a rather large imposition to reach out over two years later requesting payments due to their own oversight, especially considering I was between jobs at the time. I requested a copy of the checks to verify that they had not been deposited. I then began receiving numerous calls from individuals stating that STL Brick had posted copies of my checks, in full, on their social media, placing me at extreme risk of fraud

I was forced to spend many hours re-arranging my finances, opening and closing accounts, re-setting auto-pays, calling customer service departments, and paying associated fees. In reviewing my statements it also turned out that the owner had, in fact, deposited my payment at time of service (check was deposited 3/3/21).

When I demanded compensation for the costs and time associated with dealing with this company's repeated oversights, they refused.

That is correct, the project was completed in 2021. Upon completion of the work, there were never any complaints made. Our company had an office fire in 2021 and the majority of our files were burned and/or misplaced. After getting our office back in order, a new secretary was hired to help get our current and previous files back in place. While we were gathering all files, an old check was found it was assumed the project was never paid for. Our new secretary stated she downloaded it and had no idea how it was uploaded to the public forum and was quickly taken down. She stated in the emails between the company and him, that he noted that was an old checking account and he is going to have to see if he can even get the information. As we all know, you cannot compromise an account that is closed. Also, mentioned in the email, he was unemployed and unsure how he would pay for the unpaid balance. Once everything was figured out, he stated that we owed him for gathering the information requested, as well as the compromised information of an account that was already closed. He continued on to other public forums and slandered our company. After speaking with our attorney, it was felt that he was attempting to extort us for this money and we were told not to pay him. Our attorney advised it was best to resolve this issue in court.
