I agreed to hire **** ********* with Clayton Contracting and Consulting to paint the interior of my
home. They damaged my home and got paint on my brand new $16,000 leather sectional, my leather sectional downstairs, my brand new headboard in one of my spare bedrooms and numerous other areas in my home. Je didn't follow the agreement that he sent me and demanded that I pay him $7,000 for paint and another portion of payment prior to what we agreed. We agreed that he would get a second payment after he completed the first floor. Only the ceilings and one room have been painted on the first floor, so he was not owed any additional money. Because he attempted to verbally amend the contract on several different occasions, I agreed to cancel the contract allowing him to walk away with $4321 that I gave him as a deposit. He has now filed a fraudulent lien on my home.

**** ********* Owner of Clayton Contracting & Consulting LLC. ** ***** wrote up my LLC with the State of Missouri. On approx May 19th of 2023 I met with ***** ********** at Miss ****** home in Lake St, Louis MO. After reviewing the project which they wanted me and my crew to accomplish, which was to paint the 1st and second floor of her home. Miss ****** agreed with my quote and  gave me a Deposit of $4312.00, we started work on the following Thursday the 25th of May.

During these few days, the customer and Miss ********** were supposed to pick out paint colors, after getting there on the 25th. Both ***** ********** were not in agreement on the colors to be used, after 3 hours of putting up sample colors of different walls in the home. Miss ********** agreed on choosing multiple colors. So off I went to purchase the colors they have chosen. After a lot of repairs to walls and ceiling, we began the painting,After the first day, after cleaning up a few paint spatter on her couch and headboard, We didn't notice until she brought it to our attention. It was easily wiped away with no damage, unfortunately this can happen when you pull off the plastic. Again any paint was just wiped off.  It didn't take long after Miss ****** got home  that evening, she decided that the colors were not to her liking, so Miss ****** and Miss ********** were going by and fourth about the colors. So on the Second day, off I went to purchase more paint.  Tuesday morning after the Memorial Day Holiday Things finally were going good. By Friday we were one small bathroom away from completing one entire floor, which was the second floor and also painting her Dining room with two different colors, Walls and ceiling and wall repair and the entire ceiling of both floors. On Friday June 2th, I placed a note for Miss ****** to pay another draw which was to be paid after one floor was completed. I was one small bathroom away from that point, I would have been done but it was getting late and all the delays we encountered with colors of the paint the customer couldn't agree on. Well on that Friday, Miss ****** said that she wasn't going to pay for any paint, which was my mistake on her bid, but paying me another draw for the completed work done. I told Miss ****** after that the mistake of me buying the paint and I would eat that cost, she still didn't agree to pay me a dime. It took several days in which we were allowed to pick up all of my equipment and supplies, which cost me money not having my tools and ladders. She had Lake St, Louis police come out to watch us remove and clean up our work area, They were why are you not finishing your great job, My reply was her. Then Miss ****** insinuated that me and my crew were Racist, This is a ridiculous innuendo and I am appalled at her remark. I have gone far beyond expectations, for instance. Upon arriving at her home I noticed that her new landscaping in the front yard was dying due to no water, I took it upon myself to get her a hose and water her plants twice a day until I figured out her irrigation system which she had no idea how to use. I must have saved her $4000.00 to $5,000.00 in new plants, I never even got a thank you from Miss ******, Miss ********** on the other hand was very happy that I did and said you are going beyond expectations. I have tried to settle or compromise with Miss ****** several times, but I quess she just wants to pay her lawyer. I have gotten a complaint with the BBB and don't want even one. Miss ****** maybe  is just one of those people

    Sincerely
