I went there on March 15 because my foot was giving me trouble. I went to the urgent care for swelling and pain and they said I had plantar fasciitis. They gave me a list of places to go and I called Feet for Life. They gave me xrays and wanted to give me shots for my feet. The nurse was trying to get me to get the shots. I told her I'm taking steroids now and not going to take all of that. So she wrapped my foot with the wrap and it was tight as a drum. She went to get the scissors to cut the wrap off, as she did this she nicked me and cut me on top of my foot with the scissors. I told her and she didn't apologize or do anything. She put another wrap on my foot again tightly. I got home and took the wrap off and my foot had been bleeding. I tried to talk to the director and left two messages. I have not received any phone calls back. I am a senior citizen and have to be careful with my feet and legs. I have osteoarthritis and have to take care with my condition.

    Business Response

Ms. ******** was seen in our office on 3/15 for plantar fasciitis after being referred by urgent care.  She was placed in a room by the medical assistant who took vitals and initial information.  Everything else was performed by the Doctor.  X-rays were not taken, as the doctor reviewed the ones she brought from Urgent Care.  The doctor performed ultrasound imaging to measure the inflammation of the fascia.  After the exam, the doctor recommended cortisone injections to help with the inflammation, which the patient declined.  She was then shown different stretches that can help alleviate some of the pain.  The doctor wrapped her foot with coban with the instructions to remove it the next day.  The patient told the Doctor it was too tight, which the doctor then removed an applied a new bandage more loosely.  The patient confirmed it felt better and acknowledged that she will take it off tomorrow.  The doctor did not notate any cuts or bleeding prior to applying the second bandage.  I received a voicemail on 3/20/23, that stated this is Ms. ******** with some important information for you and to return her call.  She was informed that I was not in the office and would be available the next day.  I received another voicemail on 3/21 with the same message.  I returned her call later that morning, but had to leave a voicemail.  She did not call me back.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: because it is not true. The doctor did nick me when she went to cut the wrap off that was too tight and she got round edge scissors to cut it off and as she cut it off she nicked me on top of my foot and
I jumped and said "OH u nicked me with the scissors," and she didn't reply.  She didn't clean the area or look to see which where I was nicked and she didn't put a band aid on and continued to wrap the second wrap.  Then when I took the bandage off at home I saw that it had been bleeding and the nick is still there with an indentation she made with the scissors was still there as well.  As for the Director I have still not heard back since reporting this incident to the BBB.

    Sincerely,
