    I am filing a complaint against my former landlord, ******* **********, regarding the failure to return my security deposit after moving out of a rental property in *******, *********Issue Details:-My roommate and I moved out in December 2024.-Missouri law requires landlords to return security deposits within 30 days or provide an itemized list of deductions.-As of March 2025, we have received neither the deposit nor any communication explaining why it has not been returned.-My roommate, *****, previously reached out requesting the deposit, but *** has ignored her request.- I sent a follow-up email demanding a response, but he has continued to ignore us.Attempts to Resolve:- I have contacted *** multiple times via email, with no response.- I sent a final notice stating that I would pursue legal action if the deposit was not returned.Despite these attempts, *** has refused to acknowledge or address the situation.Desired Resolution:- I am requesting that *** immediately return our full security deposit or provide a detailed list of deductions, as required by Missouri law. If he fails to comply, I will pursue legal action, including filing a claim in **************** Small Claims Court.I am submitting this complaint to document **** failure to follow landlord-tenant laws and to warn other potential renters about his unprofessional and illegal practices.

    My former roommates and I have been unable to recover our security deposit. The total amount of the deposit paid was $1500- $500 each. We lived in an apartment owned by SP Management from August 2023-July 2024. We vacated the apartment before our lease ended on July 15, 2024. After vacating, we followed up via email about the status of our security deposit. On August 13, 2024, our property manager put in writing that there were no damages and that we would recover our full deposit. However, as of December 17, 2024, none of us have received our security deposit. I have called and emailed multiple times, and have received no responses. They have also disabled access to the portal where we paid rent, which has made it harder to access our statements. However, statements in my email show that **** and I paid our portions of the security deposit on 4/28/2023 and 4/29/2023 respectively. The statement from August 2023 shows a 0 balance as of 8/10/2023, indicating that the remaining portion of the security deposit was also paid.

    I was at tenant, and I am in need of my safety deposit to be returned. Nobody is returning my phone calls or I send an email no one is responding to the email. Seems like they are avoiding to pay me back rightfully it was my safety deposit and they are well over 30 days over.
