    This company is an absolute joke and they're crooks. They will keep your security deposit because they can, they will find a way to keep it no matter what. This company took over my lease (yes, I didn't sign my lease with them) as they took over our building from select leasing and management. Upon move out, I told them of everything wrong with the place before I moved in. For some back story, I was moved into the apartment after the initial apartment I was living in had plumbing issues, so to fix the situation Select Leasing and Management moved me into the apartment I would eventually move out of. Upon move out, Smart Rentals was notified of things I didn't do, a window that was broken before I moved in, as well as other things. I was charged $525 for said broken window WHICH I DID NOT BREAK, select leasing was notified about it 2 years prior and told me that I wouldnt have to pay for it. I was also charged for "excessive nail holes in the wall". I DID NOT NAIL ONE NAIL INTO THE ***** the entire time I lived here. Their cost sheet for repairs/'damages is also something absolutely insane and crazy. To fix one set of blinds they charge $75/blind!!!! It cost me 20$ to replace 2. These people are crooks, they will keep your deposit regardless of any facts or proof you provide them, they are predatory rental property managers who fixed absolutely nothing in the building when I lived there and make their bottom line by keeping security deposits. I will never ever rent from these people, they have no moral backbone, they are bottom line people who will make up lies to make more $. Worst rental company ever.

    Incredible rental company. Maintenance is fast and responsive and they are extremely honest and upfront. Renting isn't ideal for most, but they definitely make it easy. Can't ask for more than what I get from them. I recommend to everyone.

    I have been renting from the company for a couple of years now and it has been an excellent experience! They are incredibly responsive and willing to work hard to make sure that things work properly and I feel taken care of as their tenant! They implemented a few technological options that made it easy to pay the rent as well as getting in touch with them. Also, our property got a makeover and became more pleasant to look at! Great folks from management all around!

    I previously posted a review on ****** but I think it needs to be escalated to this point. I am also thinking I need to file a report now. There was a lot of problems with the apartment. Like us having a huge leak and not being able to use the toilet in our apartment for over 24 hours and having to have 2 water heaters put in within a couple months of each other due to faulty installation totaling over 2 weeks of time with no hot water. But when we decide we want another apartment and finally to leave. A lady lied over the phone saying our deposit could be transferred to the new place to get me to put in credit applications. Then after I did spend almost 100 on them and we were approved they wanted us to pay our rent, deposit, new pet fees, and first month's rent. I was mad because a business should work with people not take them for everything when we weren't planning to move for awhile. It's their fault we do not want to be there. Now we had to make other arrangements for living and I was late on rent. When they asked I said I would pay them before end of month. So today when I go to pay the rest of the money I owe them. They have shut off my access to pay them. I also have tried following their move out requirements, but no one can say anything written to me and only want to talk over the phone. This is not good business, they can put things into writing to me, but I can't get confirmation back? I do not want anymore "promises" or "confirmation" over the phone because they lie.

    We are sorry to hear about your bad experience. Unfortunately we don't see records for all these complaints in our system. Also we are amazed to see that all the bad experience and online shaming started after we did not get to agreement on another unit managed by Smart rentals that you asked to move into. If all the reviews in social media will not be removed within 24 hours, Smart Rentals LLC take legal actions.
