      In 11/2023 I engaged with STL Sitter to try and secure childcare for my son. I paid their service fee, but ultimately was unable to secure satisfactory childcare via their service and so moved on to look for services elsewhere. I did not realize that I subscribed to an annual service...that just 'renewed' on 11/20/2024 in the amount of $99. I wrote to STL Sitter via e-mail on 11/20/2024 asking that they kindly cancel the service and the pending charge on my credit card. Additionally, via their website, on 11/20/2024 I cancelled the membership service. I received an e-mail back from them stating that they will not authorize a refund.

      We truly feel this is a retaliatory complaint. The complaint itself, states that " I did not realize that I had subscribed to an annual service" 
      We delivered, what the client signed up for, and he is taking ZERO accountability for the fact that he didn't read anything.

      Attached is the following evidence to this baseless complaint:

      -Exhibit A & B: Images showing the various places that clearly explain our membership model, and HOW MEMBERS CAN manage their subscription, 24/7
      -Exhibit C, our email sequence that is sent to each member, starting 30 days PRIOR to the subscription charging, up until renewal.
      -Exhibit E, proof from our server, that those email messages were delivered to ***. 

      *We have more photos that we could produce, but we were limited with 5 uploads. *Please let us know if there is more evidence needed.
      *We do not offer refunds after the transactions occur, because then we are negative $20 in processing fees. 

      *** did not give us a chance to address his concerns before filing complaints all over the internet, because we were closed for the weekend.
      Despite being closed, we responded via email and refunded his membership as to not further slander our business.

      Ive reviewed your refund request submitted through our Jotform.  I can see that you did not use our services and I apologize that you did not understand the membership structure.
      That said, Im a bit disappointed that you chose to leave negative reviews and file a complaint with the BBB before allowing us time to address your request, especially since we're closed over the weekend.

      STL Sitter is a small, family-run business, and we truly care about our clients and their experiences with us.
      As a gesture of goodwill, Ive processed your refund and will notify the BBB of the resolution, along with providing them with a copy of the agreement you signed, along with the three reminder emails that are sent prior to your subscription renewal. 
      We always strive to provide exceptional service, and Im sorry we didnt have the opportunity to meet your expectations.
