    Hired to repair dryer. They left my machine smoking. I tried to resolve the problem calmly. The owner screamed at me and then proceeded to block my phone number

    We fixed the belt on the  unit.  We can not clean unless you pay the fee to clean it.  The next day the customer called and we went back out there and we noticed that the belt was cut.  We offered a discount for the cleaning, and full refund for the labor and the belt.  The customer called and stated that the unit was smoking and he wanted a new unit.  I informed the customer that we were not going to replace the unit.  He refused the option of a full refund.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    It is a lie. I never asked for a new unit. I certainly didn't cut the belt as the gentleman I spoke to on the phone suggested. 

    The belt snapped minutes after the man came to my house the first time. I called, we worked out terms for a second repair. I actually felt that they handled this conversation respectfully and with a reasonable degree of professionalism. 

    They came out and did the repair a second time. The next day we tried to use the dryer and it began to smoke. I called and left a message. The man called me back the next day and immediately began to suggest that I had cut the belt. Why I would do such a thing is quite beyond me as my interactions with this company cost more than $300 total. As I tried to advance the conversation he said that I was holding up the line. Then he hung up. 

    I called again. He said that he could get me on the schedule to have someone else come out to look getting it repaired again. A reasonable offer except that after two failed attempts--one of which could have burned my house down--I was not interested in letting them work on my dryer again. I told him we would replace the unit--WE, not him--but that we would appreciate a refund on the two failed repair attempts. The man screamed that we would not get a refund and then blocked my number. 

    Whoever wrote this response is well aware that I never asked for them to replace the dryer.
