    I was scheduled for 2 eye surgeries; 1 in April April 2022 and then May 2022. The cost was predetermined before my first surgery. I paid what they determined to be my remaining balance for both surgeries in April. When I arrived for my 2nd surgery, they said I still owed in May and if I don't pay now, I won't get the surgery. So I paid. I never received a detailed bill. My daughter called in August asking for a detailed bill. In September, they mailed the detailed bill and determined I was owed a substantial refund with a note dated September 6, 2022 that the refund was submitted to corporate and should take 4-6 weeks. I have the letter as proof if needed. This is November 11, 2022. I've called the billing office repeatedly. I've asked for the Accounts Payable or corporate resolution contact information, and they said they don't have it. Every time I've called, the person responded that their supervisor is not in the office but they will email their supervisor with the details and call me back. They have yet to call me back. I've asked to be copied on the email and they responded, we don't have a secure email system so I cannot be copied on the email. I just want my money back that was owed to me. If customers don't pay on time, we get sent to a collections agency. There's nothing for the reverse.

    I have reviewed the complaint and called the consumer I let her know that her refund was processed on 11/23/2022. I provided her the amount, check number, and my phone number. I instructed her to call me if she does not receive it. She seemed satisfied with that communication. She mentioned she had been sent to collections for a past due amount and I have contacted that department to address it. I apologized and consumer seemed pleased and looking forward to her refund check.
