Homestretch Property is renting a property to me that hasnt passed city inspections. In the ************************ it states a home has to be up to code before renting to anyone.Water bill is over $1000. I live by myself and my bill is higher than YMCAs water bill. If I move Ill still have to pay 1000 water bill plus eviction judgement if they win. This is a big business and I am just one person. They only want money and I would like some money as well for the water bill. I have no problem paying rent my ledger will show that. But until things are rectified I wont pay.American Waters representative came to my home Dec 5th stated the leak was coming from the toilet and its the owners responsibility. Homestretch insists on taking their maintenance employees word that it was the shower only. The toilet was swapped out late Dec. I receive emails daily about late charges but nothing about water bill reimbursement. No normal person would pay a 1000 water bill due to faulty plumbing at a place where they ONLY RENT. If it was my fault I would pay, but it is NOT. I deserve fair treatment! HELP with this issue not to be blamed. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND doing business until you see this company has passed all city inspections.1. Had me sign lease in a home with no passed city inspection 2/28/23 2. Water bill sky rockets (oct)3. Maintence tried to fix issue (Oct 23) said the issue is the shower 4. Pay rent Nov (successfully)5. Ask company/and owner for help with water bill. Told no 6. argue w/me in email about what I shouldve noticed based on their maintenance worker (justifying the reason for no help with water bill)7. Let them know if issue when I got the bill (the only way I knew something was wrong)8. Failed inspection (Amwater meter reading) dec 5th 9. Finally replaced toilet (late Dec)10. Water is threatened to be disconnected Jan2 (payment of 150)11. Eviction court for me Feb8 12. Water disconnection scheduled for Feb21 13 Eviction Court on feb22nd

The tenant has requested assistance with her water bill. I checked with the owner to see if they would be willing to provide a credit for the water bill. I checked with the maintenance technician that went to the property and they noted a pencil thick stream visibly coming out of the tub spout and pointed it out to the tenant and the tenant didn't think anything of that. After hearing that information from the maintenance tech I let the owner know and for that reason the owner was not willing to provide a credit to the tenant because they did not notify the maintenance department in a timely manner about the water leak. She only notified us after receiving a high water bill. I told her no credit would be given and she continued to ask for a credit when I had already responded to her original request. She then decided to with hold her rent for not receiving a credit for the water bill. Per the tenants lease she is responsible for all utilities and can not with hold rent for that reason. I have attached the lease for reference. We would like to resolve the issue but had to send the tenant to eviction after multiple request for paying their rent.

I have been calling this company since December 5 because they have not taken my rent payment. They always take it out of my account automatically. This has been the same way since I lived here. It's been 5 years. I called and spoke to *** the manager about it and he said he would get back to me but hasn't. I have called at least 6 times and nothing has been done.

I spoke with the resident and I went over her ledger and removed late fees, and a returned check fee.  During the call the she seemed to be satisfied with the adjustments I made to her account.

They did remove all the charges.  They did not contact me until I reached out to the BBB.  I paid them $6.00.  **
