    My complaint is that this business commits fraud. I had an appointment & saw the doctors assistant, that did not exam me at all. I was charged on my insurance as a doctor visit, ******* ***** **, who never saw me either. I was incorrectly charged over 280. When I spoke to their billing they said yeah we always bill as a doctor visit. I said well I never saw a doctor and my hand was not looked at either. A business that purposefully bills incorrectly to increase charges to customers I feel is fraud as they are willingly doing this: billing customers for a Dr. that I never saw. Since this is a regular practice here seeing an assistant & being charged like seeing a doctor, I felt to warn others about this company. They as well turned me over to collections for charges that were incorrect, which they finally corrected after I contacted their collections.

    We have reviewed the complaint and adjusted the billing provider on the claim accordingly. We also reviewed the status of the claim, and the claim is not actively in collections.

    I called the patient to make him aware of the corrections and inform him that the claim is not currently in collections.

    I had x-rays at Signature Orthopedic. I paid my co-pay at the time of the appointment. Under Medical Advantage policy the provider is to collect the x-ray charge at the time of the appointment. They did not. They have a billing company (CACI). CACI sent me s bill. I issued a Bill Pay transaction through my Etrade account. I sent CACI a screen shot of the transaction. They say they want a copy of the cancelled check. Bill Pay sends payments via ACH if it is a company in their files. THERE IS NO CHECK!! CACI continues to contact me for payment. I have spoken with Signature Orthopedics Office Manager and Insurance dept. No one is resolving this.
