I hired this business to work on my motorcycle. They owner/mechanic said it would take 2 weeks. It took him 6 weeks ! He didn't do much of the work, which I fully expected from a "licensed ****** mechanic ". His girlfriend did the work, whom is NOT a motorcycle mechanic. He told me he was instructing her how to do it because he was "sick" I have that in text messages on FB. The price of the build was supposed to be *******. That includes a full dyno tune for the new top end of the engine. He charged me another ****** after he was finished to tune it ?? So I got charged twice for something that DID NOT HAPPEN. He wanted me to bring 97 octane fuel on my way to pick up the "finished motorcycle". Why would I need to do that??? You don't have the option to get 97 octane while out riding!! It's because he didn't tune thr bike. That 97 octane would definitely make it feel more powerful, so he was scamming me. I feel that the engine working taking 6 weeks compared to the 2 weeks I was told and the double charge for "tuning the bike" that didn't happen, should result in a partial refund of the services. I now have to take my bike to another shop and get it right, which is going to cost another ******. One more thing. After I got the motorcycle back home, several bolts were loose all over...the engine, the exhaust and the cam plate housing. This was poor work not done by a certified mechanic. Not to mention my bike was filthy when I picked it up. He couldn't even wipe his greasy fingerprints off !! This guy is a scammer and I'm sure I'm not the first, nor the last. I hope the BBB can help me and future customers get this company out of business. Thank you for your time.

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
This is just a copy of the final receipt. It's actually the document I originally sent to the BBB. The business said the have other documents they would email. I'm curious to see what those are.

On 04/12/2025 ****** **** dropped off his Harley ******** motorcycle VIN
***************** to have his engine built and his bike tuned on our Dyno.
We installed a 95 cubic inch kit, with 585 cams, an upgraded oil pump, gear drive, and upgraded cam plate.
Once installed it was tuned on our dyno with Techno Research's Direct Link software directly into his ECU. We provided him with the dyno sheet showing the increase in horsepower and torque that he gained.
His bike was almost empty on fuel so I advised him to pick up fuel on his way in and explained if he could pick up 97 octane fuel without ethanol would be a better choice for his motor. I never stated at all that that was the only fuel he could run. I told him the ethanol-based fuels have a tendency to give lower horsepower and torque and are not good on the fuel system for Harley-******** motorcycles as we have had to replace pumps and hoses that are submerged in the fuel tank because of ethanol-based fuels. It was advice only.
As for who worked on his bike, I personally have 40 years experience working on Harley-******** motorcycles, and since I had just been released from the hospital after going in to the emergency room for a bleeding ulcer, I had my helper do some of the work while I supervised. Even if I had not been down physically, she has always done a superior job with minimal supervision on many previous Harley-******** motorcycles, without complaint.
The customer stated that there were some bolts loose upon his arrival at home. If there were any at all all he ever had to do was call back and we would have looked it over and made any corrections that had possibly occurred.
When motorcycles are put through dyno tuning, and then the final Dyno runs there is always the possibility that something may come loose because of the high RPMs reached on the dyno machine.
The customer also stated he was overcharged because we did not tune his bike, which I can contradict with pictures and dates and times and paperwork showing that his bike was tuned on the 14th and then Dyno tested for the final run after tuning on the morning of the 15th.
I can also show on his bill that he was given a $403.40 discount off of his bill. We barely went over the estimate given of $3750.00 and he was advised prior to picking it up that we had to take a little extra time tuning his motorcycle because we also had to install exhaust bungs on his bike to be able to tune it with wide band O Sensors required to tune it. The pipes had to be drilled and then the bungs welded on.
Either way he is a return customer, and was happy with the last work that was done  on a different motorcycle of his.

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: She showed "Dyno tune results" there were no RPM readings. Just horsepower and torque. If he's been doing thus for "40 years" why was that overlooked? You can print anything out on a computer. Again, the "Mechanic" helper is not a certified motorcycle mechanic. I shouldn't have to pay full rate for an apprentice to work on my motorcycle. And again, it took 4 weeks past the date I was promised. As far as the loose bolts, there's no way I'd take my motorcycle back to this place. The experience was beyond disappointing.
