I had an accident May 30, 2025. These ***************************** safety called JSH truck repair and towing. They told me I could get anything out of my car the next day. I was there the very next day less than24 hours later my car they would not give me a price to retrieve my car. All they would tell me was give them my and $150 they never would tell me a price to get my car out of impound. I kept calling daily and the lady told me that she was only a school teacher and she could not make any decisions because by the they got back from vacation, the tow bill and the storage fees are at $1375 today. When I finally got in touch with the owners that were on vacation all that week that was the price that had accumulated. She called me a liar and told me they didnt give a price and I told her I had two people standing there with me that heard her refused to give me a price. I am disabled on a fixed income and its way overpriced for any tow company around this area. It wouldve been max &150 to $175. Theyre trying to charge me $575 for the tow and $45 a day. Period I think that is very wrong and I dont know what to do. They never gave me any paperwork or any type of bill and told me that I didnt have insurance so I surrendered my vehicle which is not correct. Because I had insurance. This is the company the city uses for every automobile they have towed.

    Business Response

***** ****** owner of a Dodge Journey had an accident on May 30, 2025. Sikeston DPS dispatched JSH Towing to tow away the vehicle. *** responded and towed the vehicle to a holding lot and waited to hear from owner ***** ******. A ticket of charges was made with Mrs. ******** information. There are set charges allowed for any vehicle towed with rates set by the work completed on each wreck/or tow incident. The charges were told to Mrs. ****** on the next day after the wreck. There are additional charges daily for storage of the vehicle as this is policy at any towing company. Mrs. ****** visited the *****, ** location where her vehicle is being stored; where she was allowed to retrieve some belongings out of her Dodge Journey without paying her tow bill. We have her on camera footage on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 8:35 AM retrieving belongings from her Dodge Journey. She indicated that she did not have insurance that would cover the price of her towing bill. As with any customer that does not have full coverage insurance or a way of paying for their property we offered the exchange of an admin fee and a clear title belonging to the vehicle to clear up the invoice Mrs. ****** incurred while she was involved in an accident on May 30, 2025 and that would allow Mrs. ****** to retrieve all her belongs and the property would serve as collateral and property would therefore belong to *** . Mrs. ****** left our facility on Saturday, May 31 with property from her towed vehicle. Mrs. ****** waited many days to call back and asked to retrieve more items from her vehicle. We asked if she was willing to take care of the charges and she did not want to take care of the charges owed for the towing her Dodge Journey. She wanted to negotiate on the amount owed because she did not want to turn over to her car insurance because she feared her insurance rates would increase. Mrs. ****** was offered a discounted amount on June 13, 2025 to which she did not accept.
