I am rejecting this response because:
I have filed a previous complaint from the same instance where Vanzandts automotive refused to issue anything linking the job to an oil change. The valve cover gaskets have now been replaced by a different mechanic who stated they had not been previously replaced. They were old and deteriorated, this is not something that would of been the case had the gaskets been replaced when the job was supposedly done.

    Sincerely,

*********************** has been a customer of ours since 1-20-2021 and we've done all types of repairs on his vehicle and never have had an issue. I've not received any calls from customer on this issue and wasn't aware of it until today on 2-9-24 due to the BBB contacting me for the customer invoice #***** dated on *******. customer requested that we install valve cover gaskets and install his customer supplied radiator. we informed customer that we don't warranty any customer supplied parts. we charged customer $200.00 for installing his radiator that he supplied. We charged customer ****** for labor for installing our supplied valve cover gaskets (with life time warranty) that cost $62.39.total for =******. his total on invoice was $655.11. customer has a 1 yr warranty on labor and life time on parts. if the valve cover gaskets was leaking  under warranty we would stand behind our warranty 100%. customer never gave us that option. we got the parts from AutoZone and our tec ******************************* performed the job. i have all receipts in my hands. we've got 6 different invoices for all different types of repairs from brakes to axles and all have life time warranty on parts.

Did not fix the problem several times in a row. Kept coming up with different excuses as to why they didn't fix the problem. On 2 occasions they didn't even finish putting truck back together, barely even running and kept milking my elderly father until it totaled just over 4 thousand dollars.

I am rejecting this response because:

What happened to the oil i supplied? The sticker on my windshield stating the oil change wasn't due for 3 thousand miles after I picked up the car was false in which case the oil change needed to be done at current millage by factory recommendations.

Allan, the man I spoke with when I scheduled this work assured me it would be taken care of when I explained everything I was supplying for the work. As well as the fact that parts provided by customers aren't covered under warrantee.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******

***** ****** made an appointment for car repairs on 3-7-23 and supplied his own parts, We told ***** that we do install customer parts, but there's no warranty on labor. I gave him an estimate for installing his radiator and his valve cover gaskets only. on invoice #***** customer paid $655.11 total. / labor is $360.00 for installing valve cover gaskets./ 200.00 for Installing his radiator. total labor $560.00.  customer supplied wrong valve cover gaskets and he approved the amount for the correct ones, for $62.39. He also needed 1 gallon of anti freeze for $20.00. plus tax equaled $655.11 and that's what customer paid. Customer called me on 4-6-23 wanting a receipt for changing his oil and filter. I looked at his invoice which he has a copy of, and I could not find a charge or a request for his oil to change on are invoice, so I could not give him a copy of something we didn't do or did not charge for. I don't know how he got an oil change sticker when we never performed one. ***

Took my SUV to vanzandts auto to have brake pads replaced. Got car back and it was making squealing and grinding noises. Called shop and they said it was the brakes adjusting. Noise continued so I called the following week and was told I’d have to wait till the next week to bring it in the be looked at. Brought it in April 3rd and they kept it all day and did not tell me anything. Called morning of the 4th and they said they would call me with a quote on repair for struts. I asked why because the struts were fine when I took it in originally. Vanzandts has had several reports of damaging vehicles while repairing them so they could charge for more repairs.

(ATT; THIS SITE KEEPS CLOSING IN THE MIDDLE OF MY STORIE) on test drive we seen the driver side tire leaning out. we then found the top of the strut tower ripped out of socket at the tower. I made an estimate for both front struts with an alignment. I called customer and explained to her what we had found, and I explained why she needed both front struts. she then started trying to blame me for her damage to her vehicle. I HAD A $25.00 CHARGE FOR DIAGNOIS BUT SHE SAID SHE HAD NO MONEY, SO I TOLD HER SHE CAN HAVE HER CAR AND WE'D FORGET ABOUT TIME SPENT ON DIAGNOISE AND SHE LEFT HERE DOING A BURN OUT. ATT; CUSTOMER DROVE HER CAR 1,237 MILES SINCE WE DONE HER FRONT BRAKES, ALSO WE NOTICED THEIR IS DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER FRONT, THE DRIVERS MIRROW IN HANGING BY WIRES AND THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT SIDE OF THE BODY.  WE REFUSE TO DO ANY FURTHER BUSINESS WITH THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER.
