I hired Advantage Electric, LLC to do some work on one of my rental properties. The owner, **** *******, emailed me an invoice for the job, detailing exactly what he was going to do and how much he was charging me. He was also supposed to pull a permit for this job. That was included on the invoice he sent me. I paid 2/3 of the total price in advance ($780). **** and his crew only installed a couple of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. We waited a long time for them to finish the rest of the job. When the rest of the house was completely finished, **** finally told me that he couldn't complete the job because his crew quit. He quit responding to my messages when I asked him to make the situation right. It's been almost 2 months now, and I still haven't heard from him. I had to hire someone else to complete the job, which cost me an additional $1,135. I only owed **** for the second draw, which was $400. Therefore, **** owes me the difference, which would be $735. I also found out that **** never pulled the permit before he started working on the house. I have read multiple reviews online where **** has done the same thing to other people. I am reporting him to the BBB to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else.
