I have had a pretty serious roof leak coming into my ceiling since March 2023. I now currently have a total of 5 different leaks that they are refusing to fix. This is happening every time it rains. I would like for them to fix the problem or get out of the lease without any legal complications.

Thank you for your recent letter with respect to the repair issues reported by ****** ***** at 315 West State St. Apt 6. Unfortunately, ** ***** is very misinformed. When taking over the management of this newly remodeled building, the owner had scheduled a new flat roof to be installed. The owner is the ONLY person who has any say or control in replacement of the roof of this building. The contractor took forever to get the job done and then after it was completed, did not come back to fix the leaks. We reported EVERY complaint and issue to the Owner. We had three roofers of our own evaluate the roof and inform us it was not properly installed. We sent those findings to the owner. In the meantime, ANY tenant with an issue was allowed to break their lease. This was a very unfortunate thing, and we have an inch worth of documented emails and other documentation pertaining to this roof.  As of September 1, we are no longer managing this building. ** ***** has every right to be upset with her living conditions, however, she does not have any right at all to make the acquisition that  "we" "the management company" refused to fix the leak. We did everything within our power and ability to get the owner to repair the leak.

    Thank you!

    **** ******, Owner/Broker
