On July 7, 2022, I sent a check for $500.00 dollars. Randy (a worker) called and said it would be 4-6 weeks. It ended up being October 20, 2021, before Stewart and his daughter brought the machine. I was promised 4 to 5 people would come and set up machine and show me how to get the quilt top, botting and lining in ready to sew. That didn't happen. Stewart kept putting the frame pieces on the wrong sides and taking them apart to fix. (as if it was his first time) My girls finally started helping him. Every time he went outside to get another piece of frame he would smoke (it was bad). When he finally got it together he didn't level the machine which I think is important. I got a baby quilt to practice on and the machine started breaking thread. Stewart said it might be old thread. I said that is what you brought. HE worked on it until it quit breaking thread. As soon as he got out of sight it started breaking thread, skipping stitches and making big messes on back of quilt. The next day a bolt fell from the machine. They didn't know where it came from. Later there was a nut that fell off the bolt that held up the rod for the quilt top. My daughter bought a new one because it was metric. Next time he came he took off the front of machine and didn't tighten the nuts back to the bolts, leaving the front loose. I found them loose and tightened them. A lot of things have happened that was not very professional. I am 82 years old and I would like to get some of my quilts done up. I have always hand quilted them on wooden frame. My girls were interested in sewing that is why I bought this machine. I should not have that much trouble if the machine is new. I just want a machine that works! P.S. Quilting machines aren't new to me. I worked for a lady that did quilting for other people. I worked for a lady that did embroidery work on just about everything with embroidery machines. I have made 4 full size quilts and 3 youth size. My daughter made 2 full size quilts and 1 2x2 piece for table This was done in 8 months with a lot of things we had to take out and do over.

    Business Response

    Hi ********,
We are so sorry to hear that your experience hasn't been what you expected it to be. We wish to address and resolve your needs. We can assure you that your machine was set up correctly. We explained how to pin the material on the frame and how to operate the machine itself. However adjusting tensions is a necessity when it comes to long arm quilting machines. Each and every quilt is different, and that affects the tension due to the thread count in the material. Quilting machines are a really delicate piece of equipment, they differ greatly from a domestic sewing machine. It's important to check the tension on each and every quilt. We are willing to make a trip to educate you more on the tensions to get you more comfortable with adjusting it. We will also send you some videos to help explain it further. We want you to be able to use your quilting machine and finish your projects.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

He came out and showed us how to put the quilt in but it wasn't leveled.  He came back again and he didn't have any help.  I told him it wasn't leveled.  He told me he would fix it.  He held it up while I twisted things on the bottom of the stand to tighten it up.  They should have someone that can help and have the tools to fix it.  No one ever showed me how to use the machine although it was promised to me.  It's making bad stitches.  Sometimes it will be perfect and then the stitches are bad.  If he comes out and can't figure it out, then what?

    Sincerely,
