      I had a driveshaft rebuilt. It was to be rebuilt on 10/5/2022. I picked it up that day. On November 7th, the driveshaft fell apart and tore up the transfer case and caused other damage under the truck. They told me initially that they would help fix it and will cover some of the cost for it. I called them today and they said they were not going to do anything. They are not assisting.

      Mr. ***** called us and said we rebuilt his driveshaft.  We can not find an invoice on this consumer.  I asked that he bring in the driveshaft so we can see if we did the work.  We have no record that he was ever a customer.  He would not provide us with any parts, invoice or anything that can prove we did the work.  He is not in our database.  I think he may be confusing us with another business.

      I gave them the sale number and it is ****** dated 10/5/2022 and they told me they found it in the system so what they have said is a lie. I have attached a photo of the sale as well.

      12/07/2022: ************ has never made me whole on the damage they caused to my truck. They agreed to repair everything but by the next day they refused . I will send the receipt.

      12/14/2022: This is *********************** at Springfield clutching, year. I'm responding to your complaint ID number of ********. I thought I sent an email and earlier explaining that we could not get the customer to respond as far as bringing the project back and he wasn't willing to do that all they wanted to do was to talk to us on the phone and wanted to know what we would do about it well. We couldn't even find his name on any of our tickets and we put the name of the customer on every ticket because it's a specialized thing. We don't just do stuff for stock. So when we asked him to bring it in so we could see what the damage was he he was not willing to cooperate so and like I said we couldn't find.

      Customer brought us a damaged CV driveshaft and requested that we rebuild it.  To do this, new u-joints and a new centering bit was installed not having taken out the driveshaft.  We have no way of knowing if the transfer case was cracked (which is likely) or whether the rebuilt shaft was properly installed, as the customer installed it himself, either would have caused considerable damage.  We are always willing to work with customers when there is a problem, but Mr. ***** has only called demanding payment for damages and filing complaints, but has not been willing to bring in the driveshaft so we could determine what caused the problem.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I called to let them know what had happened and to see if there was anything they could do to help me out but when I called back on the day after it has happened they started yelling and me and told me to do whatever I needed to do that they were not going to do anything about it at all I asked if I could send them pictures since I was broke down in ******** and was told no dont need them. I would say I have used this business to do a lot of work for me from rebuilding transmissions to dative shafts and for them to say I am not in there system is crazy , they have always been great to work with. Parts fail I understand that people make mistakes I understand that but this shaft had a problem and came apart just would like to have some help paying for the damages, not even asking for the help with everything it tore up just help with the transfer case and the shaft. If this was to happen with the business I own I know what I would have to do and that would be make it right.
