Very shady business and not trustworthy at all, do not stand behind what they sell or their work. Easy to get ahold of when they are trying to sell you the boat then they disappear and the excuses start. After talking to numerous people around the lake area they have this reputation. After they repaired my sterndrive for a repair it didn't need and ignoring my original complaint about a water leak that they said they would repair at the end of the season and then tried telling me it was a normal leak i got the boat back and immediately developed a prop shaft seal leak. Ok no big deal it's a 2006 i expect some things to happen. They picked it up and fixed it and never charged me for any of the repairs which i thought that's great since i was expecting to pay since i was quoted a price for the first repair. This is where it went down hill, boat sat on the lift for about a month before using on vacation had less than 10hrs of use since getting back when i started smelling burnt gear lube, returned to the dock and raised the boat to find burnt gear lube was now running out of the props, had inspected by another shop to find full of metal and the prop shaft housing which was removed had backed out and was hitting the props. Now i have a damaged drive that was in perfect working order previously. When confronted the owners response to me losing time on vacation with the boat was he loses time all the time and it's a 2006 and that he didn't charge me so what do i want from him. I've been a dealership mechanic for 30 years and know how to stand behind my work, this isn't it. You can't botch a repair that severely damages a 9k drive and say well i didn't charge you, you did no favors. He did eventually offer to split the cost of the bandaid repair to save my vacation and if the drive fails completely to find me a used one. Well it has failed completely but i don't trust them to get me a good drive so i will be paying for a new unit that i can trust.

Sorry you feel this way, ***. We have tried to make you family happy with their boat purchase by picking your boat up multiple times and addressing repairs at absolutely no cost. You are also correct you did purchase a 17-year-old boat that will need issues addressed from time to at any time while you own it. As for your water leak, ******************* the owner of Heartland Marine, personally took you boat down to the lake and sent you multiple videos of the engine compartment with no water coming in. We then also drove your boat and tried to replicate under power where you said water would come in, sending you videos of no water coming in. I'm not saying you don't have a leak, but I can't fix something that I don't see leaking. As far the drive, ***** the owner of Heartland had the shop fix the leaky seal for no charge when it was noticed leaking. He personally walked by your outdrive with the new seal installed and pressure guage hooked up for many hours, holding good pressure. I understand it leaked again and you should have let us revisit the problem instead of taking it to another dealer who of course will charge you a bunch of money. I stand behind my mechanic with 20 years of service at Heartland. I know knowbodys perfect and we all make mistakes, but you should've have had us try to revisit the issue. You didn't which you had your own reasons and that's why heartland marine split your expensive shop bill. You live up in an area of the lake with heavy log and stick debris floating everywhere. You have many multiple family members also driving the boat. I'm not saying something was hit the first time or recently, but it is always possibility which can cause damage to seals or other parts. We are not shady and would not be one of the largest pre-owned boat dealerships at the lake for 20 years if so!!!!

This place is the biggest joke I have ever seen in my life. My husband and I bought a Tahoe Q4 back in February from this dealer. They told us the boat would be ready to be brought home same day, that it was gone over with a fine tooth comb, and the engine was all original to the boat. However when we got there they told us that they had to replace the fuel pump but they would have it delievered to our house and 100% winterize it free of charge because we drove almost four hours to pick it up and it was a wasted trip. We were promised it would be delievered the following week. We did not get the boat until mid march. We took it out once at the end of April before we had to replace the steering because the steering arm was loose at the gimbal steering pin. This is also when we found out that the engine is not original to the boat. We fixed that issue and took it out a second time and noticed a vibration in the engine so we pulled it and come to find out it has a cracked block and was leaking water into the engine for who knows how long. AND on top of all of this its the end of May and we still have not recieved the title for the trailer and have been given the run around by the women in the office. They promised to send another temp tag for the trailer to get ** through until they fixed their mess up on our title and never did. Every time I called them about that they lied and said they didnt have any templates for their temp tags. If what they would have said is true they have gone the last month with out temp tags so not sure how they are selling anything. I will never give business to this place again and wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Yes, indeed we had a fuel pump problem with the boat during the test drive - we fixed that - and yes, we did deliver it for free to your house for no charge after we test drove it again and winterized it. When we and your husband boat drove it and checked the only problem we noticed was the fuel pump. There was a title issue, but we were out of temp tags which were ordered from the state department and they were taking a long time getting them to us which typical for the government. We worked out a replacement engine with your husband finally which i admit took some time. So, at the end of the day everything was taken care of. Sorry for you frustration.
