I had taken my dog to be spade. So a shelter that uses this veterinarian paid for the spade. When I went to pick up my dog, I noticed something white hanging out of her surgical area. They told me to bring her back. My dog pulled out the white thing hanging out of her surgical area. They denied using gauge then they said they use gauge to wipe the surgical area. They were going to charge me for giving her medicine and cleaning he area. My dog had an infection from this and there is no way I'm going to pay for this. They gave my dog an antibiotic, left her wound open and came out to the waiting area dripping blood. They gave me an eCollar for her. I get her home and get everything going, give her medicine and today she was supposed to have her stiches removed and give her another shot that she needed. So the shelter has refused to remove my dog's stiches and the veterinarian. I contacted another vet who is removing the stitches at no cost. I just want people to be aware of how this vet does business. I don't think they provide the right care to the animals that go there. I am now being refused any type of services. The vet game me my medical papers but the shelter would not give me any information regarding this. Now they are telling me that maybe I should take care of my animal and not spend money on drinking establishments. I don't drink.

Dear BBB Review Readers,We are sorry to hear that ****** ******* had a negative experience with our organization and partner vet. However, we would like to provide some context and clarification regarding the allegations made.******** dog was spayed through our organization's ********************** and partnership with our vet, with all costs covered by our organization. This service was part of our spay/neuter day event, which aimed to support ********** families who utilize our pet food pantry and struggle to afford proper pet care. In addition to this spay surgery, we had also provided vaccines, microchipping and preventatives and pet food at no cost to ****** for over a year. Our vet and staff can confirm that the same quality care and concern was taken with ******** dog as with all the other pets we served that day. We can also confirm that the same procedures were followed for ******** dog as for the other 24 pets spayed and neutered that day.Unfortunately, ******** dog developed an infection 4 days post-op. However, we have photo evidence and written confirmation from ****** that the dog was not wearing an Elizabethan collar as instructed, had been licking the surgical site and her activity had not been restricted to leash walking only.Despite this, our vet provided comprehensive care, including cold laser therapy, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and a replacement Elizabethan collar. Our vet also offered additional cold laser treatments and to keep the dog for the weekend if ****** felt unable to care for it properly. She declined.Notably, our vet did not charge ****** for the post-op care, despite the fact that the infection was largely due to her own negligence. Furthermore, ******** behavior during the post-op care was unacceptable, including yelling at our vet in front of other clients, calling him a "butcher," and throwing the Elizabethan collar that was given to her across the parking lot.Due to ******** repeated threats of lawsuits, harassment of our staff and volunteers, and disruptive behavior, our legal team advised us to terminate our relationship with her. We cannot continue to provide services to individuals who pose a risk to our organization and staff. We value the trust of our community and take all allegations seriously. However, in this case, we believe that ******** behavior and actions have been unjustified and damaging to our organization.Sincerely,***** ****** ************* No Time to Spare Animal ***********************************************
