    A refund was denied. Children were not set to attend daycare until 2 January 2024 which was agreed upon on 23 December 2023. On 26 December 2023, provider was contacted and informed that the daycare service would not need to be provided. Provider became unprofessional and refused to provide a refund. Provider did not inform me of a 5% charge fee for using my debit card. Provider said payment would be 470x2 which is $940; however, she charged $976 and a 5% service fee plus another charge to which I did not receive a receipt. Only 1 receipt was issued but a total of $1139.25 was taken from my account. My spouse went to the daycare to get a hard copy of the contract that was signed stating no refund and the provider denied us the hard copy of the contract and said shed send it to us later digitally. She then told us shed use our notification as a 2 week notice and our kids could attend daycare on 2 January 2024-12 January 2024 since we had paid for it. However, she removed us from the daycare app in December. This app is used to check your kids in/out of daycare and communicate with staff and check your childs progress while enrolled in the facility. So, we had no access to the day care during the times she said we could attend because she would not refund us. The payment agreement I signed was regarding payments once the child is enrolled in daycare. I disputed with my bank but was told since I wasnt granted access to the daycare, Id have to go through small claims court.
