GNT Construction was hired July 1, 2022 to pour a new front porch concrete pad at **** ******* **** ****. Contract was signed between GNT and ****** ******** included all materials and labor, subject to change only within 48 hours of contract signing. GNT hired sub contractor to prep and pour concrete. This sub showed up randomly, dressed inappropriately, smoked, inserted himself into conversations with me and other contractors bidding additional jobs in back yard. GNT's owner, **** ******, showed up a few times during prep and on day of concrete pouring and left before the concrete was leveled. The sub knocked a big dent in the porch step when finished the concrete and tried to patch it up afterwards. The concrete looks uneven all around the house and the finish looks awful. **** agreed that he thought it would look better when his request for final payment was denied. **** brought in another sub to look at porch who proceeded to put another coat of concrete over the porch that flaked off after it was dry a couple days later. **** then brought in another sub to roll 5 coats of epoxy over the concrete after the excess flaking was removed from first attempt to fix. Another sub told him to sand it off which he said he would do, but hasn't. The porch is unacceptable. **** tried to get me to sign a contract agreeing to pay for all the material and labor in his attempted fixes to the porch. He also tried to add materials that were included in the original bid- the concrete blocks which were replaced because the original ones were not reusable after the porch was removed- the removal was done by a different company. Since I will not agree to pay him additional $ or the balance owed for a completed job- which it is not- **** says he doesn't know why he's even talking to me. I've had 2 general contractors assess the porch and both have said, it needs torn out and completely repoured. I want that done and **** to pay anything over our initial contract price.

I went over there to give her an estimate.  I looked at the job.  It looked like it had been previously worked on.  I go back over there and we worked on it.  We realized the block wall needed to be replaced and we did it.  We got the metal rebar in and poured the concrete.  She decided she didn't want a broom finish, so we tried to smooth it all out.  Before I left, everything looked good.   I came back over there and the consumer fired the worker.  I brought another guy out and we did an overlay.  The overlay didn't work out.  We had to scrape all off of there.  She had only paid me $900 at that point.  I tried an epoxy lay and we were trying to fill in this waffle area.  This also didn't make her happy.  She didn't want to work with me.  I told her we could do build up, but it has to be done in layers.  I told her we needed her to be patient, but she wasn't willing to.  She currently owes me for the job.  She's only paid for the concrete.
