Back in 2016(?), I was admitted here because the mental health hospital nearest to me was full. I high-fived someone before I was ever told the rules or anything, and that person was put in isolation. They were keeping someone who had a literal shattered leg from being given any form of painkillers.Someone was freaking out and they sedated them and locked them in iso.Since going here, I have been diagnosed with PTSD, which I had never had before going here. They are shockingly abusive to their patients. When I was admitted, they told me if I hadn't fallen asleep on my own they would strap me down onto the table in the isolation room and sedate me.A one star doesn't cover how lowly I think of this place, but it is the lowest I can give. I feel like I should expand a little bit. They also had made us walk through the snow in our socks, if we didn't have the "privilege" of shoes, then that was just too bad. There were two staff members who were nice to me.They made me sit out in the hallway instead of letting me sit in my room during one of the codes where everyone had to be put in their rooms for safety. I had to sit outside, in the hallway, on the floor, and if I started getting anxious, I guess they would have probably sedated me.On my second day there, while they were adjusting my meds, I had slept all day due to the meds knocking me out. Third day I heard the nurses actively insulting me while I walked past the nurse station.I thought that maybe, just maybe, this place would have changed. They did not. The e-mail they give you if you leave a ****** review just outright doesn't exist. They do not care about the people they take in, or how they leave in an infinitely worse state than before they were admitted.

My daughter had a recent stay and was discharged before she should have been. She was still exhibiting the same behaviors and threats as she was going into the facility and yet I was still told to come and pick her up in 5 hours or I would be charged with abandonment. When picking her up, I told the staff that I didnt feel safe taking her home and they said in front of my daughter that I said I didnt want to take her home. That was a lie. They also said that I had too many kids, not even sure what that has to do with anything. The nurse then stated that I was too emotionally charged to be dealt with. The hospital started my daughter on medication that was not approved by me or my husband. This place is not safe for them to be operating and they are not willing to work with parents. No calls were ever returned and had very poor communication when we did call to inquire about our daughter.

My experience at CenterPointe Hospital proved to be markedly unsatisfactory. Inadequacies pervaded various aspects, encompassing substandard food, discomfort in the bedding arrangements, and a conspicuous lack of therapeutic interventions.Confronting severe and medication-resistant depression, I consented to electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) as a potential solution. Despite initially agreeing to three sessions, the outcome was distressingly counterproductive. Following the third session, I found myself in a profoundly compromised state, beseeching for respite from the anguish. Ceasing the treatments proved imperative, yet it took a harrowing two weeks to recover from the aftermath. Regrettably, my depressive state persisted and exhibited no signs of improvement.Curiously, CenterPointe opted to discharge me despite my ongoing distress, leaving me with a distinct impression that they were uncertain about alternative courses of action. The discharge process lacked comprehensive information, and notably, I was not facilitated with arrangements for individualized post-discharge therapy. The sole offering was participation in outpatient group therapy.Ultimately, my tenure at CenterPointe Hospital exacerbated my preexisting misery, leaving me in a more distressing state than when I initially sought their services.
