    Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I looked into this situation, and found the mistake. I had mailed the $70 check #**** to you right away on April 4, but had sent it to your old address which was the only address I had on file. You called me to see where it was, and provided your new address. I mailed another check #**** to your new address on April 16. Since there was no way for either of us to get to the check #**** that was mailed to the old address, I put a stop-payment on it. However, you certainly should have received the new check #**** by now; so I will also have to look into that. I left you a message this morning to notify you ofthis situation. When you get a moment, please give me a call. I'd like to get this resolved for you as soon as possible!

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I have spoke with Linda on the following dates: March 31st 6pm as worker did not arrive at agreed time to finish the cleaning job. April 4, 9:39 when it was stated a reimbursement check would be mailed to address. Lastly, date 4/15, of which it was stated that a new check would be issued to the new address as I was told the previous check was sent to old address. Please note the date of the check in attachment has the payment stopped was written on 4/16, the day after our agreement to issue new check. The check came directly to the new address (not forwarded) therefore, there was no mistake on my end as to which check would be good to clear. As a result, I no longer trust this company's correspondence.

    Hi ********, am so sorry about all, of this and will do whatever you would like me to do to make things right for you. If you were charged a fee for trying to deposit this check, or if it caused any other additional expense, I will be happy to reimburse this for you.

    I see what happened - payment was accidentally stopped for the second check I sent out on the 16th (#****) instead of for the original check I sent on April 4 (#****) that was sent to old wrong address. Please tell me how I can make this right for you. I'll be happy to drive a check out to you today, or send through Venmo, or send through the mail - please let me know your preference as well as any additional expenses on top of the $70 that you incurred due to the stop payment. Again, my sincere aplogies for this mistake. I was an innocent error, and I will do whatever you wish to make this right for you.

    Hi, this is my first complaint and I have a spotless record. I certainly would not risk my 25-year reputation for $70. This was a 100% innocent error, and I am trying to do everything in my power to make things right for this customer. You can see what happened in the response thread. I also left this lady a couple of messages. If there is anything else I can to, please let me know! If she doesn't believe what I type here, and doesn't answer my calls, I'm not sure how to make things right. Could you assist in this situation?

    I am rejecting this response because:
    Please note the information provided from company regarding the issue does not align with what has taken place. I received two voice mails on 4/29/24 following the BBB complaint but again, information provided regarding the cancelled check number and dates are incorrect. I have attached a copy of the cancelled check that includes the date of check issuance that was provided to the current address in this complaint. I have also included every interaction date I had with the company for clarity of the complaint. It appears this individual is not reading the provided information or documentation. Meanwhile, the issue is not yet resolved.
