    ******* ***** ***** of MIKES FENCING AND HANDYMAN, LLC whose company name changed November 2024 to *********************** AND HANDYMAN, LLC I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE ************************* for scamming me out of $1375! **** has collected $1375.00 from me to level an area of my back yard, apply paver base and ground cover prep, removing the dirt and purchasing and installing paving stones of my choosing in my back yard. He has torn up my back yard, leaving a muddy pit and pile of dirt and grass next to it and has NEVER come back to finish the project. I have written documentation for every event mentioned below.*7/1/24 I accepted a bid for a total of $1611.70 for the patio project mentioned above.*7/3/24 I paid $975 to purchase the paving stones. I have the invoice and receipts.*7/7/2024, **** + an employee came to my house, dug up a section of my back yard, applied some paver base and quit for the day.*7/12/24, I pay **** an additional $400 to pay his employee and pick more supplies. Again I have the invoice and receipt.*After 7/7/24, **** has never returned to work on this project. I have 3 pages of documented communications, excuses and lies that he has stated as to why he can not come out and finish my project. We have had several periods of time where he just stopped answering inquiries.*11/22/24 I received a text from ******* helper" stating the order for my paving stones (which I paid for in JULY) has been placed. Through conversation, it became obvious that it was not ****** helper, he got a new phone and was pretending to be someone else.*12/16/24 **** claimed the paver order was cancelled and provided the cancellation info to me by text. I called **********, Provided the invoice # and they said a refund would not be coming as he never paid for it.*12/22/24, **** promised me that he would make a payment toward reimbursing my money on January 1st, 2025.*1/2/25 - no payment was received.*1/21/25-still no work or reimbursements.

    Hello - I have also filed with the Missouri Attorney General, and finally, as of TODAY, 1/7/25, **** has offered to pay back $1000 of he $1375 at $100 a week and I have agreed.  I have not received any payments yet and this agreement is only through text messages, so I would like to keep this case open until action actually takes place.  Do you need him to contact you to verify this information? I think that would be a good idea.  Please advise - thank you - ****** *****

    ** Jan 18, 2024, I contacted Mike's Fencing and Handyman LLC via text at ************ for an estimate for drywall repair in my home. I was quoted $200 for the repair which required a 30% ($60.00 deposit) for material costs. *** work was scheduled for Monday 22, Jan. *** contractor canceled the appointment for Monday 22, Jan due to inclement weather and rescheduled for Tuesday, 23 Jan. *** contractor failed to appear on Tuesday, 23 Jan, so we rescheduled for Wednesday, 24 Jan. ***** the contractor failed to appear at the scheduled time of 2:00 PM, I contacted him at 2:16 PM. At 3:37 PM. he responded, stating he had a "family emergency" (but he did not contact me until AFTER I tried to contact him). At that time (Wednesday, 24 Jan, 3:37 PM) I requested a refund. He replied "Okay I'll have the refund sent back to you within 24 hours thank you sir sorry". ** Friday, 26 Jan, I contacted him and told him I still had not received my refund. He then replied, ************ take 3 to 5 business days to get back to your card thru the square app u paid on sir" ** Wednesday, 31 Jan, I contacted him and reported that "I have still not received my $60 refund." He replied, "Let me check my bank when I get off work today if not I'll be bringing that money to you tomorrow". ** Thursday, 2 Feb, I contacted him again" Still not received. Did you submit a refund or not?" He replied "Yes sir ill call bank today when i get off work to see whats going on sir" I told him that was the same answer he gave me the day before. He replied "And if you don't hit today when I call the bank i will have to pay you cash tomorrow". He then showed me a screen capture of what appeared to be a $60 refund from "Square". ** 28 Feb 2024, I contacted **** again via text and showed his the reply from his pay agent Square (second attachment). I offered to meet with him to receive my refund. He replied "Ill contact them". As of this complaint on 3 March 2024, he has yet again failed to respond.
