Lift rite lifted a sinking patio, but in doing so they damaged some siding trim . The salesman came out and took pictures of damage and said he would talk to owner. Its been over a month and they have not contacted me at all.

Mr. ******* has a patio that runs underneath a bump-out with brick steps on top of the pad. These brick steps were very tight to the siding as you can see in the before picture. Both crew leaders were on Mr. ********* job and informed him before the lift, that there was a chance that the siding would crumple during the lift. He chose to proceed. We were able to achieve the lift and get the patio back to it's original position, but the siding did crumple as you can see in the after picture. Mr. ******* claims no warning was giving beforehand. Our crew leaders gave him the appropriate information to make an informed decision and he chose to proceed. Therefore we should not be held liable for the damage done.

There responce is not totally true by any means. I did decline on having the other pad that fell lifted until they got the original lift corrected completely.  They told me over the phone they would continue to warranty there work and make it right. The last time I spike to them I did get upset when I was told and I qoute "I am f_____g done with you and your warranty." The gentleman was rude and cussed me i asked for a refund since he wouldn't ho or there work that never took. I did say his company was a scam and maybe I should get a lawyer.  I have had 6 company since all say the same thing. My hose has been there 30 years there is no erosion happing it's there product. I have been calling and emailing trying to find out what exactly they used so I can move forward with repairs. The repairs are in excess off 2000 dollars now. They will not respond that's why I have reach out this way. Thank you

There is a copy of my invoice with the warranty.  Please keep in mind that when I called to have warranty work they told me the warranty starts over. When the gentleman that lifted the pad said the same thing. The owner or manager who events was that was rude to me said on previous warranty work that it started over and to call when if falls.

    Thank you

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
When I called and had the warranty work preformed I asked specifically if the warranty started over and was to yes by the ****** scheduled the warranty call with. When they did the work the gentleman that was preforming the work said the same thing. When I spoke to the ******/slash owner the last time the did the repair he said my warranty would start over as well.  I have had several companies come out and look at the work preformed all of which have said that the product they used to lift my pad is wrong and causing more damage.  I was told that poly lifting not the mud lifting that they preformed. Now I have more damage and repairs to be done. There is no erosion occurring on a home of 30 plus years. Everything company i have spoke with has told me that as well.

    Sincerely,

    ***** **********

    We reject the customers response:
Nobody from our company told him that his warranty started over after the warranty work was performed. Our warranty is strictly 3 years, otherwise it would be stated on our estimates. We have used the same product for 18 years on over ****** residential jobs which includes thousands of patios. We have attached a photo of customer's patio that clearly shows water sitting at the edge. Water that is not diverted away can cause additional settling, even after 30+ years. The job was complete and is no longer under warranty.

On April 7th, 2021, we lifted a section of sunken patio for Mr. *********** with no issues. Our three-year warranty began on that date. Two years later on April 19th, we performed warranty work on that same section. Several months later on August 11th, we performed another warranty evaluation and was also asked to give an estimate on another section that had begun sinking. Mr. ********** decided not to have the other section lifted and have the section under warranty lifted again. He called again this September wanting us to perform warranty work. He was now several months past his three-year warranty, and we called him to inform him of that. He demanded his money back, called our company a sham and said he was contacting his lawyer. Since he threatened a lawyer, we cut off all communication with this customer. He has been harassing our company with voicemails and nonstop emails. We cannot control subgrade issues, bowing foundation walls, terrain and drainage issues which can all cause concrete to sink after it's lifted. We always honor our warranty and did just that two times within three years for Mr. ***********

Contractor did not correct the color of filler on sidewalk slabs at front entrance to our home.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/15/2022

Our company specializes in stabilizing the structure of existing concrete and not cosmetic repairs to concrete and this is what this complaint is based on. We do not ever tell a customer that the hole patch will match the existing color of the concrete. We do in fact tell the customer that it won't match because that would be impossible. We take extra care to have the best outcome with each and every job we do and we did with this customer. We have went above and beyond to satisfy this customer but the expectations just can't be met. We were hired to stabilize the concrete and that is what we did and the customer agreed with that.
