September 26 at or around 8:10 pm, Budget towing towed my personal vehicle to my residence where they hit my neighbor's basketball hoop causing extensive damage to the passenger power side mirror, door, door glass and vehicle body. ****** ******* (tow truck operator) said he would cover the damages personally because it would be cheaper than turning it into his insurance provider. He said he would call me and make arrangements to pick it up my vehicle and take it to where he would repair his damages or have it repaired. On Monday September 30th at or around 3:45 pm, he told me by phone that he had changed his mind and would not pick it up, that I now had to deliver it to him even though the vehicle is not operational. Then he offered me $1000.00, not for the damage he inflicted on my vehicle, but to take possession as the owner in a purchase of said vehicle that currently has an "as is" value of many times that. Now I'm a self employed single mother and I (now) believe he is attempting to take advantage of me and I want the body work for the damages he inflicted corrected at a reputable neutral body repair shop, whether I repair the reason for the tow or not, or he can give me a negotiable check for the estimated cost of repair. The damage he caused drastically reduces the value of my vehicle if I decide to sell it as is. all damage is backed up by witness account of the accident and photos of the results of Budget's damage. Vehicle towed from ************************* on HWY P to my residence as listed above.

Budget Towing has not received any correspondence by phone, mail or e-mail from ****** *******. The incident happened back in September of 2024 and Budget Towing offered to pay for the damages if she took it in for repairs. Then in October 2024 she contacted the BBB which we again offered to pay for the repairs. The BBB notified ****** of our response and the complaint was closed as per the email we received on 10-11-2024. It is now March 2025 and Budget Towing is still willing to pay for the repairs. Budget Towing just needs to know the name of the Repair Shop and the Contact Person in order to pay for the necessary repairs.

      Sincerely,

      Budget Towing

I was awaiting my insurance company to tow my car after I wrecked. They are required to notify me within ten days of having my car, they never did. After I realized my car was missing I called around, the county said Budget towing took my car on December 24th, which was well over a month prior to me calling. When I asked budget towing they said I owed thousands of dollars and they don't have to notify me when they have my car, which is a lie.

We went through the process and sent all required forms and notifications to all listed Owners & Lienholders and we obtained a salvage title for that vehicle.
