My husband, ***** **** ****** fell in a pond on 2/20/21 trying to save a calf. He was airlifted to *******************************. I received a bill from ******** along with our insurance info that ******** was not one of their providers. But I also had no choice which air Evac the first responders contacted. *********************** worked with ******** and I was told that after ****** accident they had a contract with *************/****** employees insurance. ************* sent Air Evac $18,052.49. I then contacted Air Evac and their associated "Pinky" answered the phone and told me that Air Evac was accepting the negotiated amount that ************* paid and they were writing off the rest. She also told me to write down the reference number which is D0519. Since then, ******** continues to send me a $39,000 bill. and I continued sending them the information Pinky gave me. Now they have sent me to a collection agency. I'm wondering if you could help me resolve this issue. Sincerely, Parilyn Hairod

5/19/2022 I was involved in a near fatal automobile accident as a passenger. I had to be transported via helicopter called Air Evac EMS, **** from the parking lot of ****************** at ******, *** to ************ in ************************* It took less than 30 minutes and I was accompanied by 2 nurses and a pilot. I was awake pretty much all but the last 10 minutes prior to landing at ***. I told the nurses I was in pain, the said they could not do anything about it because they could hardly move due to accommodations. I also told the nurse sitting above my "I am bleeding inside by stomach..first I am going to pass out, then I am going to go in shock...and I will die...So call a priest when we land." The nurse said, "Of no you don't!" and I passed out from the pain. So the cost for flight care RN $60 x2=$120, Pilot $120, gas $350, medical supplies $500 (guess I paid for O2), Helicopter 1.2 million total cost so I will take $2000, total in reality is what $5000. My bill was $81,068.50. I pay insurance $650 a month. Air Evac sent me to collection for $150 Are you kidding me? My insurance paid the ********* and this company sent me to collection for $150? I broke my neck, back, all ribs, pelvis, both ankles, laceration to liver, kidneys, busted bladder, etc and I am just trying to get back to a normal life and back to work (I am nurse at the **), and these jokers sent me to collections for $150 when BCBS fed plan paid the over $80,000. Please help me with this challenge and this unjust charge. This is disgusting, unreasonable, wrong, excessive, absurd, inappropriate, unacceptable, dishonest, and crooked. This helicopter transportation situation needs to be addressed and deemed illegal. Is this really helpful to the consumer after everything I have been through I have to pay $150 after my insurance paid them $*********. These people are villians and this practice is ridiculous. Is this saving my life by sending me to collections after being paid *********? Thank you

Air Evac refuses to provide an itemized statement to either myself nor my attorney. This is a copy of the bill I received last week. Thank you-

Air evac will not send me an itemized statement w/o a fee. Why? I feel entitled to an itemized statement for $81,090 dollars. Correct?
