    I took my car to Delta Auto for a transmission repair. They said I needed a new transmission and I paid them for a used transmissison and they installed it in March/April of 2022. The transmission stopped working less than 30 days after completion and now they are not willing to replace the worthless transmission and will not return my money totaling 1999.00

    We agree that the vehicle received the transmission in March of 2022. At the time of the original repair, the customer agreed to a used transmission because the transmissions were so difficult to find and a new one was more expensive than they wanted to spend. Used transmissions carry a 30 day warranty as is reasonable and customary. When the vehicle returned with transmission failure in June 2022, we tried to locate a used replacement transmission but could not. The manager made the agreement to refund the money for the used transmission ($584 plus tax) and the customer would let us know if they were able to locate a transmission. Once the part was located, we would install the customer's transmission for no charge (even though used transmissions do not carry a labor warranty). The last note we have in the system is that were waiting for the customer to verify the correct transmission from a local used parts dealer. We are still willing to refund the transmission money ($584 plus tax) and install the customer's transmission should one be located.
