I placed order **** on 22 April and my credit card is charged on 24 April for $273.75. The confirmation email states the order will be processed once payment is confirmed. Over a week later I don’t know what the order status is. They won’t answer the phone, respond to email, or return VM messages. I’m on the fence with respect to filing a fraud claim with my credit card company.

Paid $101 to ricksprotrucks for a set of truck bed rails on feb 1 2025. After waiting for several weeks for a shipping update I contacted them. Was assured by an employee named ***** that he would take care of it. Several more weeks passed then I contacted again and no response. After another month I stated that I would be filing complaints and dispute over PayPal which I used to pay. The seller responded by saying he would refund me if i retracted the dispute. This is very shady and unprofessional. I was never refunded my money and did not receive my product that I purchased. I am looking to get back my $101.32

      Business Response

      Hey,

I provided evidence the customer got his money back. The reason he was asked to remove the dispute from the PayPal account was so that way we could issue the refund faster as there was no available funds on the PayPal account at the time the customer was upset. When someone opens a dispute against an account, it retracts the money that the customer sent. So, because I don't have proper authorization I couldn't put money on the PayPal account to refund it immediately that day, so whenever the authorized user got back into office which was a day or two after we had our interaction, he was refunded immediately.

      Thanks,

      *****

On August 31st 2023, my truck was taken to get airbags installed. Truck was dropped off around 730am. The air bags was installed, but had a busted air line and upon further investigation the wiring wasn’t correct alone with other things that the business (Ricks Pro Trucks) confirmed wasn’t correct. The truck was taken back the following day September 1st. And the issues was addressed accordingly and resolved. After the truck was brought home, the following Sunday September 3rd I was washing my truck upon noticing that the driver side door had been damaged on the bottom. There was bright yellow paint where the damage was. I took pictures and contacted Ricks pro truck, when the issue was discussed there systems was said to be down. Later that day they reached out by email and phone call, saying that the damage was already there when it was brought the first day. They did send still shot pictures of the truck in email claiming the damage was there, but would not send videos of the truck being lifted or lowered the first day to verify it wasn’t done in the lifting or lowering process. They said that per their lawyer that they couldn’t or wouldn’t send video clips of lifting or lowering process of my truck in their shop. They did tell me that I could come see the videos. I called and Informed them I was on my way to view the videos personally since clips couldn’t/ wouldn’t be sent. I immediately got a call back stating that the system was down again. I’ve asked for video clips and can’t get them then I attempt to come look their system is down. I did/ do have dash cam video and audio in my truck at the time, and the card was overlapped or deleted but it is being pulled back to try and recover the audio to see if sound evidence or talking confirms when the damage was done. The video evidence on my end will only show the front of the truck.

On september 1st 2023, ****** *****'s truck was returned to Ricks Pro Truck so we could correct the airbag installation, where we resolved the problem and the customer picked up the truck that afternoon.  On september 5th 2023 ****** ***** called and talked to *****(ricks pro truck employee) and said that we had damaged the driverside door at the bottom, ***** asked for photos in which the customer emailed so we could review them . At that time we told ****** ***** we had to review our video cameras to see if Ricks was to blame for the damage. At that time ****** the manager reviewed the videos on the 5th and 6th and did not find at any time ,that the door was open while the vehicle was being raised or lowered at anytime, therefore evidence did not show any damage being caused by our machines or employees while on the premises. At that time **** called his insurance agent to ask him a question about the issue but he never contacted his lawyer. ****** ***** contacted us on the 6th at that time he was told he could come by and review the videos, he was called back so we could let him know that the sonic wall on the computer system had failed so he would not make a trip out untill we could get the system back up , at that time he said we were stalling and that he was done and he would go through a third party to resolve the issue and he would not come in and review the videos for him self. Ricks Pro Trucks computers were down until september 9th 2023 at 4:00.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Until I get my Audio video recovered from my dash camera to review. To try and determine exact time frames of when my door was opened and closed during the time it was at Ricks Pro Trucks. Then I will be willing to have someone on my behalf come review the footage on their side if they will allow it.

      Regards,

OUR VIDEO SYSTEM ONLY HOLDS RECORDINGS FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS , SO WE NO LONGER HAVE THE VIDEOS , BUT WE STILL STAND BY OUR RESPONSE THAT THE DOOR WAS NOT DAMAGED AT OUR STORE

I am rejecting this response because: Of course the business would wait til there is no longer evidence in their possession to reply to my previous email of asking if I sent a 3rd party person for review on my behalf. Such as lawyer or investigator, not just a random person. “Would they be able to view it on my behalf”. With that being treated and replied back at their convenience of any evidence that was there being lost now, goes to show they type of business that’s being ran and operated. This isn’t the same businesses it used to be for sure. My future business will never be through this company again. I hope the BBB takes in consideration of the time frame on the response to the email that the response was waited until the evidence was lost before it was a reply and puts that against the BBB report on their website.

      Regards,
