    On January 22, 2025 around 4:01 pm, I ordered food through the mobile app to pick up at McDonalds located at 550 Courthouse Road, Gulfport, MS 39507 in the amount of 17.88 dollars. My payment went through and my app stated that my food was being prepared and would be out shortly. A day before, Gulfport had suffered a very hard freeze and rare snowfall so businesses were usually closed the day of the 22nd. I tried two other Mcdonalds and the app stated they were closed. When I tried the location of Courthouse Road McDonalds, the app did not state that business was closed. I then put in my order to be picked up curbside. When I arrived there were a couple vehicles and I thought that I had seen someone inside the restaurant. The app was stating that my order is being prepared so I waited and as usual, I figured it would be a long wait but after 35 minutes I got out of my vehicle and tried to go inside to see what was taking so long. The doors were locked and the lights were off inside but the app was saying they are preparing my food. I realized that I just paid 17.88 for a meal that was not being prepared so I call the hotline for customer care and was told that the franchisee owner would contact me about a refund. I have received no contact from owner, nor have I received a refund. I called customer care three different times over the next few weeks and was being told the same thing as the first call I made. A few days ago I filed a dispute with cash app to get my refund but CashApp says, according to their investigation, my order had been fulfilled by McDonalds and my dispute was denied. Now I am taking this issue to BBB in hopes that McDonald's will not allow this to happen to anyone else ever and to get some type of mediation to get my refund. I appreciate your help.
