    My family (23 people) and I came from ******* and ***** to be with my mom for her 91st birthday. She doesn't go out since covid but decided she would go to Golden Corral at *******************************************************************, Ms. July 15, 2024 close to her home, it was 35 of us.After paying we walked to our seating location and I could smell nothing but urine and the carpet was sticky. I told our hostess about the urine smell and she replied "what do you want me to do about it". When I repeated the problem she said she will tell the manager, but he never came. I didn't want to eat there but didn't want to spoil it for my mom, since she picked the place. I got a half steak and a couple of cold french fries but only ate 3 pieces of the steak because of the smell of the restaurant. About 10 minutes before we were leaving the cashier got the manager for me. I told him the place was "disgusting" and he apologized for the way I felt and that he can't help what the customers do. I told him it wasn't the way I felt, and it's not the customers, it's the way the place looks and smell. I pointed out the filth on the wall by the kitchen and the napkin holders and he said "have you pulled out any napkins and that the dirt was the shavings from the napkins". Granted the pictures show the shavings but in person you can see the dirt. I asked if he has anyone to clean the place and he said yes and didn't want to be confrontational with me and I replied me either. On my way out I said to him to look at the filth on the outside of the garbage can behind the cashier and he replied "ma'am it's just a garbage can".I tried to look at the inspection report, but 5 couldn't find one. This place need to be shut down for unsanitary conditions. No one should eat here, and should be inspected and posted ASAP.
