I purchased a 2010 Dodge Ram on May ,17,2024. I was aware the truck had rusted areas. The tire rod was damaged. I noticed the truck smelled like gas after a couple of days. It was brought to the owners attention. The tire rod was replaced. He said they checked out the gas smell and found nothing. I took the truck to a body to get it sand blasted as the owner suggested. The owner of the body shop said it was too late to sand blast it because the rust was too extensive under the truck. He said the rust was in the steel now. I called the Supercenter and asked could I return it and get my money back. He said I could surrender the truck but I couldnt get my money(2200$) back. This weekend (July 27) , the smell of gas was so bad that my brother noticed. I have been smelling gas fumes for two months now. Its making me sick with headaches. I really need them to fix that. I pay 480$ monthly. What if this vehicle catches fire while I or my grandchildren are in it. I have to be ok with the rust but how can a 60 year old women get under a truck to see if its rusted. I need them to fix it or refund me.

Rust was disclosed to customer when buying the vehicle. Customer also brought son or other male figure to check out the truck before purchase. **** complaint about truck before purchase was a sway bar link which customer brought back and we fixed. She did complain of smell of gas, but our mechanic saw no leak but either way was not agreed upon to fix something outside of warranty other than the sway bar link. If truck continued to smell of gas, then it is on the customer to take the vehicle to a mechanic opened to the public. Our mechanic is only to fix lot cars or fix any problems agreed before deals are signed. Each customer is given a power-train warranty for 12 months or ****** miles. **** way to breach contract is to surrender vehicle or repossession in which no money is given back.

Customer bought the car with a 12 month 12,000 mile power-train warranty which only includes the covering of engine, transmission, and drive-axle. When buying a used car problems can occur. All cars are checked out before sold and some problems do occur, but that is why we have all customers test drive vehicles. We have offered to fix this customers car but due to a time restraint with her and the mechanics fixing the problem, the customer is upset. We offered to fix the vehicle without any cost to the customer. Customer did sign a legal 41-month financial agreement for the vehicle. It is not in our policy for any money-back guarantee, but some exceptions can be made. In the end the customer was given back the down payment.
