Formal Complaint: Cannon Nissan of Laurel To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Cannon Nissan of Laurel, regarding the improper handling of a routine oil change on my 2003 Infiniti Q45, which resulted in potential engine damage, poor communication, and an overall unprofessional experience. On March 10, 2025, I brought my vehicle to Cannon Nissan of Laurel for a scheduled oil change. I explicitly requested full synthetic oil for my vehicle, as required by its specifications. However, when my husband attempted to start the vehicle on April 10, we heard a loud knocking sound from the engine. My insurance provider ultimately arranged for the ****Throughout the following weeks, I received inconsistent updates and no written documentation of repairs. I personally visited the dealership multiple times and requested a clear record of what was done to my car. Each request was denied or dismissed. When asked if the oil had been replaced with the correct type, I was told it doesnt make a difference, a statement that is both inaccurate and concerning. Most troubling, on May 15, I received a text message (not a formal call) claiming my vehicle had to be picked up by 5 p.m. or I would be charged a $50/day storage fee. My husband and I were never informed prior to this message, and this type of communication is *************** this day, I have not received proper documentation, an apology, or assurance that my car has been properly serviced. I strongly caution others from doing business with this dealership.Sincerely, ******* ******
