    This company agreed to make a dance group of about 16 girls hand made dance suits. All communication was documented. She was paid August 16, 2024 in cash the deposit for the suits to begin the work. After weeks of not hearing from the owner I began checking in to see how the process was going and when the 1st fitting can be done because we needed the suits for Homecoming Parade on October 3, 2024. I checked with her on Septermber 12, 2024 and she stated things were going fine. I texted her on September 22, 2024 to schedule the fitting and alterations and she responded on September 23, 2024 with all types of things other than the scheduling and once that was done we agreed on September 25, 2024 for the fitting to be scheduled on September 29, 2024 at 6pm. On the morning of September 29, 2024 she said that she needed to reschedule the fitting because of her doctor's appointment. Fitting was changed to October 1, 2024 at 6pm because the parade was scheduled for October 3, 2024. On September 30, 2024 I confirmed the address that she should come to to do the fittings and alterations. She replied thanks. On October 1, 2024 at 4:12 p.m. She texted and said that she was having issues from the allergic reaction and that she needed to reschedule until October 2, 2024. and she would deduct $100 from the balance for the delay. I also asked for a picture of the suit so that we could purchase hair bows and she never replied. On the morning of October 2, 2024 I texted to confirm an estimated arrival time and she stated that she should be at the confirmed location no later than 6:30p.m. -7:00 p.m. She guaranteed that we would have the suits on 10/02/2024. from 4pm until 632 am on 10/03/24 she would not respond. On 10/04/24 she said the suits would be ready by 10/05. On 10/05/24 she agreed to pay the deposit back in full by November 8, 2024 and she would make a simpler suit with the costs on her. I have yet to receive any other communication from her about the refund.

    In response to the complaint you received in reference to my business, it is in fact true that I was unable to complete a custom order for their dance team due to what I thought was an allergic reaction to a medication which was causing layers of my skin to peel off in my hands and on various portions of my body. After further medical testing I found out that I was actually having a lupus flair and was diagnosed with lupus. I explained what was going on and why the order was delayed and that is eventually why I couldn’t meet the second deadline. I asked for another extension, to make a less complicated dance uniform and give a partial refund, or even refund all and at a later date make the girls a free dance uniform since I had already made individual patterns for each girl. I was told that they would prefer a full refund and nothing else from me. I did communicate that I would try to pay the deposit back by November 8, 2024 but with being sick I had a significant unexpected loss in income. The deposit had been spent on the different fabrics, trims, notions, pattern making materials to make the 15 dance uniforms. I cut out all of the uniform pieces and labeled for each girl which I still have. I just needed more time because I unexpectedly got sick after I  took their late order. I would like to pay the deposit $1455 to them by 01/30/2025 and have the matter resolved.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Please send the funds to $dean2010 by the date you have provided. Also, any open communication could have sufficed this matter as well. In the last messages you agreed to pay the deposit in full and still create the ladies a custom suit with all expenses covered by your business. You failed to do so and you stopped communicating. We have not heard from you or we did not receive the refund on November 8, 2024 as you agreed to have the deposit refunded. Please make sure that you can meet this deadline for the refund and that you have specified that we will be refunded the $1455 by 01/30/2025.
